Certainly looks like this is not happening now, a few papers are now running the story about Ange not having a UEFA pro license, and they compare his and muscats situation in Belgium where his club created a role for him while he completed the UEFA pro, difference being that muscat had UEFA A, B and C, which you need all of to get the pro.
They report Ange has none of these but may have held C in 2008 but it has lapsed.

They are claiming celtic had been tracking him for months as a plan B to Howe, but it seems like lunacy to overlook the lack of licesnces.

Looking at the squad a few first teamers were only on loan last season (kenny, Laxalt, Duffy, Elyounoussi) and celtic have also lost/sold Brown, Klimana, Elhamed and Frimpong. Ange will need to bring in another Rb, Cb at least. To play Ange ball that backline will need some serious reshaping. Bitton who hasn't been a starter since Ronny Deila actually will be very suited to Ange ball as the holding DM. He's a big guy like Jedi, and can pass well and slot back to become a CB allowing the fullbacks to push on like Ange likes (Jedi, Milligan, Paartulu).  Ajer can also play this role although assuming he wants to keep Ajer at Cb will need another holder as Ntcham is more of a CM or roaming DM like Kante/ Viera. 

Actually looking at that team a number of Socceroos could slot in and improve that side in the angeball system. Another ball playing centre back like Sainsbury or even Curtis good now his injuries are behind him, is sorely needed along with attacking wingbacks like Leckie and Smith/Behich .  Even Ryan whose career is in limbo a bit would be an upgrade on Bain and obviously suits Ange ball as a Sweeper keeper.  

Im a celtic fan and agree the majority of our fans are retarded but the club is definitely in the top 100 in world football pushing top 50.

Ajer is apparently off to Newcastle, decent player bringing the ball forward but he can't header a ball and his defensive awareness leaves a lot be desired. We will sign at least 2 right backs like we have the past 2 seaons and Ralston won't get a look in, Bolingoli will be off given his actions fucked the club over massively and Taylor is barely good enough at spfl level, so we need a new left back as well. Welsh and Julien are going to be our only two centre backs, so yeah we will be in the market for at least 2 more. Has been reported Ntchams contract has been terminated by the club after his failed loan stint at Marseille, if he played at his best every game he'd be playing for a top 5 club in a top 5 league by now, unfortunately inconsistent performances and a poor attitude has sent his career on the downward and will find himself fading into obscurity with mid-bottom table clubs in France if he doesn't change his ways.

Aussie players I'd take right now would be Ryan as like you say couldn't be any worse than Bain and Barkas although unrealistic given he can probably find himself a mid table epl club to join, Sainsbury has always looked decent anytime I've seen him play for the Socceroos although can't comment on his club form. Would be good to see McGree step up and be given a proper chance under a manager that shows faith in him, Mooy could be an option if it's on a free transfer or under 300k as we need to replace Brown but I don't see why his current club would take a 4m pound loss on a player that going by reports is doing well, his family are living in Scotland which could sway things, actually going by Celtic forums he's in Scotland right now.....Leckie wants game time and at 30 years old I don't see how he'd get game time ahead of Forrest, maybe play him on the left but the club will probably try to get Elyounoussi back.

I have been critical in the past of Ange, and I also have insight into scottish football (I used to live there etc).
So I think I can have a fairly balanced opinion. Ange is clearly a better tactician and manager than some in the past, ffs Lennon? Realistically walked into the job because he played for them - and even got to come back for more ffs 

Ange def has the ability and  in some aspects too much philosophy for the job.Whether he'd be able to handle the media scrutiny? But let's face it - look at their competitors - Rangers. Gerrard walking straight into the job and dominating, the celts were laughing at first when he got the job too. Did he have a better coaching CV than Ange?

And for those saying he's done nothing and only achieved in Asia - WTF is he supposed to do without the chance, just walk into somewhere like Old Trafford and say he's boss now?

Celtic is going to play European football.  That's the thing that everyone is missing here.  Ange coaching against other European teams is also a good test of how he handles himself.
