+x+x+x+xFor any of the Ange tactics knocking he isn’t on the pitch to win 50/50’s second balls etc and being half a yard behind. Too s can play like that many times to the best have seen the exact play countless times. Where was the spurs players hunger aggression and being first to the ball - talk about being out pressed and pressured to error - pretty simple stuff there to any top flight game. As a player it’s in your own head to beat any opponent first and foremost then play to your gaffas instructions. 100% Spurs looked cooked before they set foot on the pitch .... Ive gotta say I wasnt a huge fan of the referring ... let some pretty nasty tackles go through and then booked VDV for pretty much the same tackle..... played a huge chunk of the game on a yellow and I reckon was the reason for the loose marking in the box..... . Anyway, to comment on last night.... your point about Spurs players applied to ours as well.. WTF, it just seemed like there was an invisible wall infront of the Palace goal..... Toons when on song really can play like a top 2 team, friggin Gordon hunts down pray like a lion - such a unassuming good player since leaving the toffs. Its crazy how much attacking talent England has when him and guys like Cole Palmer probably wont get into the starting 11 for the euros... id kill for one in the socceroos. Ange becoming super predictable, maybe he has the same issue Pep did? Where Pep went for good defenders at RB/LB rather than ball players, Royal is a straight liability at the back, Porro seems to struggle at times but good going forward. yep agreed, I'd take any as well. Gordon, getting old now 23 lol but kicking butt, LFC/Toffs Jnr coming to prime, 6ft, mobile and talented he'd be cutting up asia. Palmer is a goer and half. 19yrs Lewis, Pep is using more and more. I hate to admit united's Mainoo @ 18 is stepping up in their midfield like mad. LFC's Elliott is only 20. Another young Toon is 17yrs Miley. 3Lions have alot of up and comers we'd take their 2nds any bloody day. Ange needs to make very good use through the summer to pick his buys and places. Lets not forget he's mostly got Conti's players.

Leads from the front, and Isak is brilliant frontman. I was happy with the aggro thought it went both ways, every game at St James park is similar. No matter VDV on the yellow, whole backline couldn't cope many times. yer were cooked and I think mentally more than anything else - oh throw in the countless lack of finish the last month. I'll give kudos to the Eagles but damn talk about lady luck invisible wall you name it, we couldn't beat a feather by the end of the game :( Only bright thing is that arse lost as well, was always gonna be city but had some hope. Yes sad weekend for Spurs, Liverpool & Arsenal. Man City looking good though. The bastards never seem to even break a sweat..... cant see them dropping any points in the last 6 rounds... unless their UCL and FA cup matches take a toll.... AAARRRGGGHHH they are so frustrating :P

I don't think Ange has the cattle to tweak much if he sticks to the same formation...... and no target man on the roster to keep low blocks guessing. Timo Werner seems to cop it as a scape goat although I think he is best performing Ange ball outlet of the front three.

He sets himself for it by telling everyone that this is how he plays and he will not deviate because he *believes* in his system. Now he can't change it becaus that would be an admission that his system is flawed and that he was wrong.
Spurs have rarely played his system anyway.

Tottenham were really really really poor. Ange tactically outsmarted again. He is just so philosophically rigid and other teams can easily neutralise their tactics because they try to play exactly same way every single game.
How on earth did Brennan Johnson cost 50 million quid?

Those losses to Fulham and Wolves could come back to bite him... If they won those...top 4 is probably wrapped up, now he will need to get points off the top 3.

+x+x+x+xyep once again we outplayed them but where it counts - the net ! How many chances is amazing last 2 games against them but yep, how it goes thats football, ecstacy and agony. robbos that was a pen easy as imo, took Elliotts leg out in a attacking position. No way will they play spurs like against us, our games no matter when where are 2nd to none, biggest rivalry, both with the most titles different eras. Had a feeling right from early this season that Nunezs inability too finish was going to kill Liverpool. No team has a finisher that poor at 9 and wins them league. Wish it was different, but I would be playing Gapko instead of Nunez. Klop has got itself wrong imo. As Klopp said the same people who has got Liverpool to 71pts & top of table were the same who missed the goals on the weekend. Klopp seems to be level headed. I think he called himself the quiet one, he's done a good job, albiet from a Man United fan. Klopp is a great coach, Pep has called him his greatest adversary & rightly so. Only problem with Klopp is no good optometrist in Liverpool, he always sees the bad calls against Liverpool none of the bad calls that go for them.

+xYer agree Nunez is hot and cold too often. MO is also missing even more chances. Not sure Gakpo is the answer as well. Dont lose faith in Darwin mate.... remember Bobby's first couple of years he couldnt link up with Sturridge or Benteke to save his life, all running and no end result too. It took Coutinho and Mane to come in before his "route to goal" sharpened up... Jurgen knows how to nurture and support creative players.... Mo is 1-2 yards of the pace these days, although did you see that sprint late in the second half during the turnover??? old man still has legs and an engine.... He'll be retiring to one of the "entertainment leagues" with Ronaldo or Messi soon I reckon., hope he gets the huge payday he deserves.

As above, Spurs will give Arsenal a tough test, big North London rivalry there. Na the defender went to ground like Lucas Neill & Elliot did what he had to, let his back foot drag on the grounded defender.

+x+x+xFricken football bud, 40 thousand chances in front of goal and they couldnt score... One defensive error, one jammy tap in and the game turns on its head.... Theatre of dreams my arse.... As for Angie.. still think he is going to be the "kingmaker" this year, will take points off one of the top three, question is who? Sometimes it goes in sometimes it doesn't, totally outplayed Man U. dubious penalty too. Penalty was a little on the soft side I agree but given more often than not these days. Young Mainoo's goal was a peach but your boy Bruno was not himself all game (apart from that gift he got to score with and the 10-15 mins of pressure after the game momentum swung because of it) Very disappointing by Liverpool, they should have been 2-3 up at the half. Onana had the game of his life ... ac ouple of really excellent saves... I just hope they play that way against Arsenal in a month ... I bet they wont though. Don't worry Spurs will. That will e Arsenal's toughest match.

Hey Johns - how the vibe there re Alonso’s killing Bayer ? Luv it that BM has been shown up huge. This is a great article for those interested https://www.espn.com.au/football/story/_/id/39865966/bayer-leverkusen-german-bundesliga-xabi-alonso-glory-hopesBy the way Spurs now officially P4. Thats huge imo what Ange has at his disposal as we’ve discussed. It’s a mad season ! Yes not talking about the OT outcome.
