rogic also skipped through a bunch of defenders in the box to get a shot away. His touch has improved dramatically which shows the difference training can make
also begs the question - why send players to europe. Have Rogic and Mooy really improved in the NT performances before and after? These are success stories
I mean go for money, sure, but don't risk your career to improve your game when even our best players aren't necessarily doing so

Had to laugh in the talkceltic thread the Australians there have been such a pain in the arse they've had to create a separate thread for the A league and threatened them with a ban if they keep posting unrelated rubbish.

Their defence was good to be fair, just some poor defending by Starfelt for that penalty but Hearts only had 2 shots on target all game and scored from both so not much that could be done if anything Celtic should have been more clinical and should have scored a few more.

The first half was exceptional. You probably won't find a more entertaining team to watch in Europe right now. And no I'm not saying they are the best team in Europe so relax!

most dominant first half I've seen us play in about 3 years, individual mistakes in the defence unfortunately took the shine off the result a bit but still a massive improvement in 4-5 weeks. AZ will be the biggest challenge so far and we still don't have a good enough left back, right back and centre back to be reliable at that Europa League level, although hoping with Edouard and Rogic gaining some confidence we should have enough of an attacking threat to win the tie

They only have one RB so they do need another RB to jostle with Ralston for the spot. Celts have Bolingoli and Montgomery as cover for Turner at LB. Jullien will be back in late September or October and they may rely on him along with Murray for CB depth. This window will probably just see a Loan RB come in. Edouard looks like he is enjoying his time as does Christie for that matter. These two may stick around till at least the January transfer window or just see out their contracts. Christie might be a slight chance to re-sign but I doubt it.

Being pro Palestine doesn't mean that they are anti semitic. Ridiculous statement.

Celtic and its fans are not anti-Semitic, they have openly welcomed and supported numerous Israeli and indeed Jewish players. They have showed solidarity with Palestine since the 1970's due to the parallels perceived between the oppression of the Irish by the British govt. and that of the Palestinians by the Israeli government. Celtic of course was founded by an Irish Catholic Priest to generate revenue to help support the plethora of poor Irish immigrants who migrated to Glasgow following the Irish Potato Famine in the 1850's, hence, the Irish roots of the club and its supporters. Please do not conflate anti-Semitism with showing support for an oppressed group of people as it's pathetic and sad!

One question, which part of Glasgow / Scotland did you grow up and witness all of this ? Google is not in Scotland BTW.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b1bK7U74G9kHighlights of last game. There is a stat somewhere that shows shots at something like 29-2. There is an immense amount of amazing football that isn't in this.

I hope they continue to wave the Palestinian flag at games. People can't be allowed to forget the Palestinians. Anyways, there is no point wasting our time discussing this as we clearly sit on different sides of the fence and that won't change.

Definitely sad to see. Some people are stupid. What I will say is that it doesn't mean every Celtic fan is anti-semitic.

+xWhen did Celtic become anti semetic and why? Great to see Ange doing well, this just stood out to me. What are you on about?? Edit; Just saw the post and links above. You can't call a club as being anti-semeitic because of a few idiots. If we were anti-semitic, do you really think we would have signed Jewish players in the first place (and there has been a few over the years)??

The biggest shock is that of Ralston. I never knew he had a twin brother who could play football ,and somehow switched places with him. I have been pleasantly surprised with his form so far this season. With all that said, we still need to add another RB to the playing squad.

You are also anti protestant, but have signed them as well. Before you start, how many protestants have been on the Celtic board since 1888 ?

I would give the same answer if you had asked how many Catholics, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, Atheist etc, etc. If asked about Catholics, the answer would still be "I have know idea", but with "more than other religious groups" added to the answer.

+xJust checked: Yes, this thread is titled "Ange to Celtic" Do Mods have any interest in keeping a thread on course? No mate, these are all perfectly valid points of discussion. It is crucial, VITAL in fact, in Australian soccer to discuss the ancestry and religion of board members ,fans and players of a soccer club. Posters on here are just concerned that the Scottish Premier League (where now a Greek Australian coach is making waves) is becoming just like the dirty old ethnic NSL .... maybe they need a few teams shunted out of the top flight and some fresh new franchises wedged in ... "Original Perth Glory" or "Aberdeen Atomics" anyone?

"Original Perth Glory" 🤣🤣🤣 As someone who has lived in the "original Perth" (wife was born are raised in Perth), I cannae see many locals voting to replace the name of St. Johnstone – PERIOD!!! Let alone to the "Original Perth Glory" or "Perth Glory Originals". 🤢🤮😅 Saint Johnstone's name has a lot of historical relevance to Perth, and shock horror I know, but their are those who value history 😲
