It helps when he has a ten times better budget than every competitor bar one, but they are looking good quick.

Would be ironic if ange kept doing well, got an offer and left after all the hoo haa at first from the majority of celtic fans. He is only on a one year so.... The old firm is critical to watch coming up....

+xThe old firm is critical to watch coming up.... Only 65 hours after the away qualifier leg against AZ, with a paper-thin squad.

On the other hand, Rangers will have 68 hours between their away leg in Armenia and the derby, but you'd think they'd be counting on smashing them in the home leg first.

+xTo all the euro snobtards that said Sainsbury isn't good enough for celtic... I've now watched the new CB Starfelts first 6 games and can conclude that Sainsbury would not only start ahead of him (particularly in this system) but is better than him defensively and is street's, no postcodes ahead of him footballing wise! That Welsh is turning into a very good defender though! When Jullien is back he and Welsh will start, Starfelt and Bitton as backups. Starfelt would benefit from, and most likely play better if he had better support defensively from Taylor. Welsh has always looked like he could turn out to be something special. Hopefully he continues improving. That said, I will be more relieved/relaxed once Jullien has fully recovered from his injury and starts playing again.

+x+xFair to say sentiment has turned regards Ange's appointment by reading their forum over at talkceltic. Quite a few of them are impressed. I must say I'm surprised at how quickly and efficiently Ange has managed leave his mark on the team. I thought it'd take 6 months minimum to have them passing the ball around like they have. Hats off. It does/would help that he came into a team who have players who already had the skill set he requires for the way he wants to play. The best thing Ange has done to date was the signing of Kyogo Furuhashi. What a great bit a business. What a signing/player for Celtic he has so far turned out for us. Once the team gets a few more players in, and the players/the team as a whole get their fitness levels to the required level, it should be a good time to be a "Tim" 🙂🇮🇪🍀

He is only on a one year so....The old firm is critical to watch coming up.... He is on a one year "rolling" contract, which means he will always have a year remaining on his contract, regardless of how long he has been there. As of today, he still has a year remaining on his contract, exactly the same as the day he signed. If he is still at Celtic come January, he will still have a year remaining on his contract. If he is still at Celtic in two years from now, he will still have a year remaining on his contract (unless there is a new contract signed with different clauses etc). As things stand, he has a contract for as long as he and/or the Celtic board are happy for him to do so.

+xSome Celtic fans saying a left back is needed. Couldn't think of many more suitable than Behich given his club situation and Ange history. Ange probably won't seek out Aussies but maybe Smith is another option.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Hopefully all these deals that are suppose to be close to being finalised happens in the next day or two.

Just breaking into the Greek national squad at the moment and I heard Mike Valkanis had a chat to Ange about him and gave glowing reviews. Farkin loving the Celtic-South Melbourne connection at the moment. Was alway a "fan" but found myself watching much more intently these days. Hail Hail my Irish brothers..........

If he is still at Celtic in two years from now, he will still have a year remaining on his contract (unless there is a new contract signed with different clauses etc). As things stand, he has a contract for as long as he and/or the Celtic board are happy for him to do so. Are you sure about that? "The 12 Month Rolling Contract This is a contract that is often mentioned in relation to managers and coaches of football clubs and is favoured because it allows a person to be employed for one season during which the fortunes of the club may change; promotion or demotion may, in the club’s eyes be tackled better with a new person in charge, for instance. The 12 Month Fixed-term Contract is well understood by most people to be one that ends automatically when the season ends but many are confused when the word “Rolling” is included. Many users of social media have said that they interpret a 12 Month Rolling Contract to be a standard Indefinite-term contract as defined in the first section above and the notice period for either party is 12 months, rather than a more normal 30 days. However, this is not the case: a 12 Month Rolling Contract is a 12 Month Fixed-term Contract, as defined in the second section above, that includes clauses under which each party can ask the other to renew it, or “roll it over”; either party can decide not to renew and there is no obligation on either side to pay compensation in such a case. Thus, a typical Fixed-term Rolling Contract will normally include a date at which both parties should indicate whether they wish the contract to roll over at the termination date; this will often be set some months earlier than termination rather than being something like 30 days and allows each party sufficient time to find alternative employment or employees. There is no limitation to what clauses can be added to such fixed-term rolling contracts and it is perfectly possible to add events such as promotion or relegation to the rollover decision. Of course a normal Fixed-term Contract can be renewed when it ends but the benefit of the Rolling Fixed-term Contract is that both parties declare their intentions well in advance. Many a football manager/coach has been left in limbo until late in the season by indecisive club owners and Chairmen; the rolling contract helps to minimise this by allowing discussions between both parties to occur early and plans to be laid."
