+xProps to the ABC. Better than 90% of the fluff written elsewhere. Well done Ange. 1 more season there then off to the EPL. Yeah great day for him, but even Lennon who was a spud got celtic to 2nd....IMO, he needs to do damage in europe for a real tasty move. Hopefully he can get it. Big congrats when most thought he'd not make it - not because he wasnt good enough, but because he'd take too much time. Fantastic achievement

Fantastic achievement Yeah I thought they'd struggle this season and hoped they'd do just enough to keep him in the job, pending greater things in season 2 when ange generally does his best work. Let's hope we still see that.

So happy for him. Hated how the Sydney football journalists/pundits treated him. A legend of Australian football and still so glad we had him at victory even just for a short time. Looking forward to Saturday night, I hope they put on a show, will be epic at celtic Park.

Huge congrats to Ange, there was questions if he could implement his style so quickly and the rebuild was massive. Its a great experience for him to prove that he can implement his system rather quickly which is needed in Europe. Very keen to see what he does next year as we know he gets much better the next season.

Next season will be even more interesting than this season in some respects. Ange will have a proper pre-season and opportunity to recruit which will strengthen his squad. In saying that, Giovanni who has also come into Rangers mid-season has also quickly got Rangers performing under his watch, has one hand on a Europa title and has shown he can get his team to edge out Ange. There will be two strong and well-organised Scottish teams in Scotland next season and it will be very interesting to see which one can get the upper hand on the other.

Apart from McGregor , Davis, Arfield and Balogun who are the ageing players, you know like 33+ year old. Average age is only 27, peak years. Take out the old guys and that drops by a bit.

Feel free to disagree but to me that is an aging squad.

How many footballers are still playing at a standard where they can keep their place as a starter in a top team at 34/35 years Old? Some can, but percentage wise not many. Maybe Rangers should adopt Chelsea's nickname to go along with its others? I hope you are quickly recovering from your illness.

What a landmark achievement, simply awesome! Congratulations Ange and Celtic.
Tbh I don’t want him going to EPL until he does 3 seasons at Celtic. EPL is too notorious for spitting out managers after a bad spell of games. At least at Celtic he can be the big fish, boss games week in and out and have a good crack at Europe Competitions.

This is actually a really great story when you step back and don’t just look at it in the isolation of just managing Celtic.
To make your name as a coach rather than a player and go for the boondocks of Melbourne to manage one of the biggest clubs in the world and do or well is going to reflect well on football in this country for a very long time.

Ranked 47 as of May 22. Interesting Rangers is at 32. Its an interesting list when looking at the Clubs those that hardly get headlines but rank so well. Not taking anything away from AP's and the Clubs achievement.

+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+xNext season will be even more interesting than this season in some respects. Rangers have an ageing squad and no funds to spend other than if they win the Europa league. Keep hearing this, but we still acquire players. Apart from McGregor , Davis, Arfield and Balogun who are the ageing players, you know like 33+ year old. Average age is only 27, peak years. Take out the old guys and that drops by a bit. I will list those Rangers players who are 29 years and older: McGregor 40 Davis 37 McLaughlin 34 Balogun 33 Arfield 33 Ramsey 31 Tavernier 30 Jack 30 Goldson 29 Holander 29 Barasic 29 Roofe 29 44% of the squad is 29 years of age and older. Feel free to disagree but to me that is an aging squad. See, I never used any vulgarities towards you. No. There was no vulgarity but there was another personal attack/name calling. You have a propensity towards both. Why? Are you so insecure that you feel that you have to use personal putdowns? Or is it that you feel that it strengthens your argument if you belittle a poster? Harden up ffs , you come over all passive aggressive then crack the shits when someone has a pop back . I doubt many are as "hardened up" as I am. I don't believe you know what passive aggressive means. Have a pop back? SB has been at it for years and it is time it was put an end to. Football opinions are influenced by emotion, particularly when they involve a team you support..But I try to be as objective as I can backing up my opinions with facts. Anyway, Ange has performed a miracle this season. Please be gentle by trying to finish me. BTW my last shite was harder than you. ...While suffering from COVID??
