Do those that have signed up already know if Paramount has on demand streaming of past matches. Ie Can you come home from the match and then stream a replay or only watch the games live? Thanks

Thanks It has streaming available for past Matildas & Socceroos matches, so should also have it available for the A-League. Edit: And the other AFC qualifiers (not involving Socceroos) as well.

Surely they are going to update the app and create a football tab, pretty shitty having football at the bottom of the app. Notice they've posted their first thing in the a-league part, a small weekly fixture video.

It's annoy me too. Between that and no app for any TVs besides androids (LG and Samsung are pretty damn popular) it's starting to worry me that this all seems pretty half arsed so far. I can only assume APL are banking on the fact most a-league supporters are in younger age brackets and tech savvy

Things should change soon though

Things should change soon though It's not about it not having content yet, there's no real need to yet, but it's not set up to be user friendly for football. ATM football is on the 15th line of programs in the app, where it should really have a tab with all the other sub categories at the top. Maybe they will utilise the "live tv" tab at the bottom. But it could be done alot better.

Anyone know if you can have multiple devices playing Paramount+ at once?
Have a profile but want to know if others can use it.

Will be interesting what the direction will be then, if paramount are going in for football and just missed out on the EPL, are they going to go for anything else or is it just Australian football. They've currently missed out on the EPL and Champions League since they've come in essentially so it doesn't look like they are in for everything. It's a pain to have multiple streaming services for football but oh well.

At least you can go hang out at the Scouser Social Club in Liverpool and vote for their board members hey Mr. Plastic Man Ive never been but a trip to Anfield Rd is infinitely more appealing than going to Geelong Oval to watch WU. Sadly for your little "authentic football" league the overwhelming majority of soccer lovers in this country agree with me. Maybe Paramount can appeal to the AFL and NRL fans that aren't watching the Ashes this summer... that will boost your popularity... metrics boy, its all about them metrics.

The non football offerings are laughable sadly, paramount really needed that 1-2 punch, the epl would have been perfect but not to be. you would likely have to be a die hard A league fan to get it now, in terms of general football offerings Optus+Kayo represent the best offerings as a whole.

Probably been covered but can you cast it from your phone to the telly? (I have built in chromecast but no app store on it.) Nevermind. Just signed up on a monthly basis and it all works tickety boo. Also agree about lack of other content. Woeful. Can only hope it improves or as soon as the season finishes I'm out.

Is there still a chance of the Premier League going to Paramount? I thought Optus was going to let it go. At this point, the non A-League stuff is just terrible. If only die hard A-League fans are signing up, you'd think the numbers right now would be pretty low.

OMG, that's a disaster for Paramount and for the A-League.

Ideally all football content is under the one roof but given how saturated football (and in general sports) content has become it will probably be unlikely a broadcaster would hold multiple leagues under their remit.
After all everyone wants to get their ROI and with the demand from other broadcasters looking to chasing their buck its unlikely we will get to the days of Foxtel owning all football content again, with Optus Sport's if they lost the EPL they would only have the World Cup and the J-League and there would be a good chance their subscribers who severely drop so they probably pushed more harder for the rights than anyone else.
For Paramount its probably not the end of the world, given they are new to the market I can see hanging around for quite awhile and will look to add further content to their remit, they could even add other sports for better diversity too. If anything it might be a blessing in disguise for the aleague as I imagined the attention they are getting right now would probably saturate if the EPL was there and might deflect the attention the aleague wants to get in attacking viewers whom only follow the EPL and won't care about the local scene.
In general im not surprised by the outcome after all this is the new norm for broadcasting and streaming going forward.

Geez that's a good point you raise though, one I hadn't thought of. ALM is very unlikely to be on screens at pubs now. Other than the Saturday night games on 10.

I have no bone to grind with CBS and AL talking broadcasting. Rapted Optus made sure to retain EPL - its a top app with good content good commentaters, WC qualis, Internationals, news coverage etcetc We all have choices which is great, sadly the goal posts will always change, no company keeps the rights forever anymore nor can they have it all.
