Paddy's team now in the relegation zone. I can't see how he can turn it around. Morale at Troyes FC must be rock bottom. I've seen this a few times where a team relegated from 1st division gets relegated from 2nd division in the following year.

I think Paddy's days at Troyes are numbered. His team, even in the lesser Ligue 2 after 7 matches, is struggling one point above the drop zone - 1 win, 4 losses, 2 draws.
Bear in mind that 4 teams get relegated at the end of the season.
If the City Group have any ambition of getting Troyes back to Ligue 1, it seems in the far distance at this rate.

Unfortunately PK has the club in a MUCH worse position that when he took over. It feels like he's only won about one match since he took over and would be without a win in about 10 games.
Unfortunately many coaches would struggle to ride this one out and still have a job in the next season.
If the club were already in the relegation zone when he took over I could be more optimistic but they have had terrible results since he's come on board and the fans are rightfully pissed off.

+x+xI was thinking why Barca thinks that way. Where do you get that info or is it just a gut feeling ? Its mainly my feeling, but I noticed of this on social media as well. I guess I worded it too strong, apologies. ah ok, I'm on no SM so all I could judge is whats said on here over the years, don't think anything here was harsh but for now seeing the MV fellas what occurred between their club and him and Heart days. Not surprising. Yes correct point FTB Mombaerts did set the foundation but you still need to direct it week in week out, good to see he's under the MV nose haha j/k. Its a very small comparison to EPL's United/City rivalry - so yer I'm glad the lesser Club of the past has run over the big neighbour and squashed em, competitively speaking. Be interesting IF he retains his position for next season rebuild.

Not sure people it seems like people want him to fail...but more like 'who cares if he doesn't succeed'
Welcome to football, people generally don't like players from opposing clubs and vice versa, unless they come across as real good guys

+xIt's sad that people are wanting him to fail and enjoying it seems too, he's the only Aussie coach involved in the top 5 leagues and it's not every day we could another one in this position so overall it's not good for the reputation for Aussie coaches back home or overseas trying to move to European gigs (excluding Ange of course). Anyone that does well it will open more doors, just like our players. When PK returned to Australia after a career in the lower English leagues, he was gonna sign for Victory but failed a medical. He then signed for heart. He resented Victory for it and finished his playing career with a massive chip on his shoulder. Did some dirty shit in derbies. So forgive me if I think he’s a bit of a flog. I’m sure many have similar views of Kev. FWIW, I don’t necessarily want him to fail. But I do think Mombaerts set city up for success and PK had things handed to him on a platter. Things are clearly different in France and he’s struggling.

Hopefully he gets a chance for redemption. However it would be not surprising if he gets the sack. Tough gig to come into a top league after the season has started and then be expected to get get significant results. That being said, I can completely understand what the fans must be thinking. Moneybags CFG buys 100% of your club and then hires some no name Aussie inexperienced coach in a league that will see them face the likes of PSG.

+xSadly, no surprises this week as Troyes, playing away, lost 3-1 to Marseille, the number two on the league standings/ladder. I really hope Troyes stay up and Paddy stays on as coach!

+x+x+x+x+xDisappointed to see Troyes suffer a 1-0 loss to fellow relegation-struggler Auxerre playing away. If Kisnorbo is going to have any hope of avoiding relegation, Troyes is going to have to beat those teams fighting to avoid relegation, which is not happening. I know that many top French players play overseas in the other big UEFA Five, because they all pay higher wages in Germany, Spain, Italy and England. It seems your lack of knowledge extends to leagues other than the SPL. The only league that materially backs up your opinion is the Premier League.

I have researched the big five. There is a Youtube video where it states that the average annual earnings of players in the UEFA big five are: EPL - $4 million. Bundesliga - circa $3 million. Italy and Spain - circa $2.5 million. France - circa $1.3 million. Remarkably the quality is basically the same A good point - even with the income disparity. In fact the French league, is arguably the most successful of all - given the French national team has probably been the best of the UEFA big five in the last 7 World Cups. They've won 2 WCs (1998 and 2018) and been runners up in 2 more WCs (2006 and 2022) since 1998. I wish we had more players ( Genreau) and coaches (Paddy) plying their trade in the French Championat, even in the lower ranked clubs. It is renowned as the most physical league, in terms of muscular body on body contact of the UEFA big five leagues -despite probably being nowhere near as rugged as Scotland though. Moreover, it is a highly technical and tactical league.

+x+xNot bad ... a 1-1 home draw to third place Monaco. But Paddy still in the relegation zone second from the bottom. And in France's Ligue 1, four teams get the chop. It's a tough season with 4 instead of 2 clubs getting relegated as the league re-sizes its top division. Very tough for the 4 relegated from the top division, but good for those promoted from Div 2.

If Kisnorbo is going to have any hope of avoiding relegation, Troyes is going to have to beat those teams fighting to avoid relegation, which is not happening. It is good that we have one Aussie coach, Paddy Kisnorbo, coaching in such a high calibre league as the French top division. A few years ago, when I had access to games, I watched quite a lot of it. It is a very good standard. In terms of producing outstanding national team players the French have the most consistent team over the last 7 World Cups: Winners - 1998. Runners up - 2006. Winners - 2018. Runners up - 2022. I remember an early round exit in 2002. Can't remember what happened to France in South A 2010 and Brazil in 2014? I know that many top French players play overseas in the other big UEFA Five, because they all pay higher wages in Germany, Spain, Italy and England. There is a lot going on that is right in French football ATM. I hope Paddy stays up.

I'm getting the impression that Kisnorbo's Troyes will be relegated. No spark of change. They played at home but there defeated 2-0 by mid-table Clermont Foot.
