Feel like this game with McGree on the left would really suit Bos right now. Would recommend bringing him on at half time

Really like the mood we're in now. Always cross it to make them clear nervously

Jordan mean business 2:0 in Pakistan already. Got to dig themselves out. Kyrzgstan now lead in Taiwan which is good.

Let's hope that gives Baccus confidence to always improve rather than think he's now off the hook and can continue his complacency. Early wayward pass annoyed me not to mention how few we were in build in. 3 Australia vs 5 Lebanon could see deadly turnovers in we're asleep.

Baccus first few minutes have been chaotic proven by his cross that has gone into the goal.

+x+xEvery time I have a Lebanese student in class and they learn I'm from Australia 'I have family in Western Sydney' Same with Greeks for Melbourne of course. Their eyes light up. It's nice. On a much smaller scale, happens to me in Canberra every time I mention Griffith. Do you know _____ Sergi? Yeah they go so local sometimes

I guess it was just for comparison purposes but the fact Arnold had to mention Leckie, who's been out for ages and Behich being missing doesn't bode well. They've been excellent servants but it's really time to embrace this next bunch.

Taiwan Kyrgyzstan goalless at break. Kyrgyzstan a man down in this crucial away game as they beat Oman last and Malaysia are undefeated. Would be very refreshing to see one ASEAN and CA team advance over an ME.

+x+x+xwhat do you guys think the formation is? 4-4-2 diamond looks the most sensible with that line up but heard 3-4-3 or 3-5-2 as possibilities 10 team have just said 442 and asked Irvine about it. I think we can see some shifts too in attack or defence. Seriously glad as had we named Jones, Duke and Behich (if he were fit) I'd be pretty disheartened. i guess it will be interesting who plays wide right in the diamond, irvine can play 10 as can mcgree but perhaps mcgree is the right mid with irvine at 10 Irvine did well at LCM Japan away which freed up Mabil a lot and also got the assist for Taggart Jordan away. He's more on the right for club. He sees to linger well in pockets and if he gets the pass and positioning right it opens up some stuff. Of course I can't wait to see Robertson who has a more 360 degree capability and we'll see the ball distributed to places we didn't think imaginable.

jordy arriving late is why he is not starting
fair enough.
Look, this is a side where most players are interesting to watch
burgess distribution for ipswich is epl level with some real defence splitting passes playing out the back. Would love to see some of that tonight

All my apps say 8:10pm kick off yet Australia official website says 8. Can't compete with Japan starting at 23min past the hour. Any reason for that? TV ads and anthems a bit like baseball?

+xIs it nearly a full house at CommBank stadium? Doubtful as they've been pushing ticket sales for so long. Headlines of 'a big turnout' not 'sell out'

+x Lineup released 1. Ryan 2. Atkinson 3. Souttar 4. Burgess 5. Rowles 6. Baccus 7. Irvine 8. McGree 9. Metcalfe 10. Taggart 11. Yengi I can't remember the last time we play a great game from start til finish. Even the 4-0 beating Indonesia was still a pretty bad game.

+x+xTeam in Ryan Atkinson Souttar Burgess Rowles Baccus Irvine Metcalfe McGree Yengi Taggart Expect Metcalfe more right after employing it well for St Pauli. Good to forgo a 10 as it allows Metcalfe and McGree more freedom to come central. Two up top. Nice! Hope it works. Feel like Bos would've been perfect in this lineup, have to assume it's because he was the last arrival to the camp from Europe and it taking it easy? Later arrival yes. I like this idea though of Irvine hugging the inside meaning if Bos were playing he'd be up and down the wing.

Hrustic is playing a mooy like deep lying play maker for his club but arnie might not trust his decision making playing out the back despite his brilliance
Bos's defence must not be trusted to play left back yet, so he keeps playing him at wing or not at all
I can understand that when playing away from home, but at home we should be more aggressive

+x442 diamond formation it seems ---natty---burgess---souttar---rowles- ---------------------baccus--------------------- --metcalf-----------------------irvine--------- -------------------mcgree---------------------- ----------taggart---yengi----------------- If it's narrow OK then you'd expect McGree to drift out left. Can't expect Rowles too high. Stupid late game prevent Bos being so fresh as this would allow him to fly up the wing. Just happy for a more club based form team.
