I guess it's always drawn as 'fixture to be determined' so, they'll wait until they get to that stage before actually sorting the logistics of it. But, you'd know the home team (unless it's an A-League team drawn against the member federation team) would come from the first batch of fixtures.

I guess I was more asking in the scenario where lets say draw for QF1 is: MFclub v Aleague club V MFclub v Aleague club The "home" club would depend on the outcome of both (or none) of the matches??? Or even MFclub v Aleague club V MFclub v MFclub I assume if the Aleague club wins it doesnt get a home game the next round? Maybe Im overcomplicating it in my old tired mind?

You're right that the home club would depend on the outcome of some of the matches, so they'll wait until these matches are played before determining the home venue.

Unpopular opinion but the NSD clubs should be ranked same with the A-league clubs.
NSD clubs can play A-leagues clubs at home or away however against all other NPL states not in NSD, away from home like the A-league.

Unsure of how the Australia Cup will incorporate NSD though - Will they need to enter through the states as they do currently, or will FA expand to a larger national round (that has all NSD teams qualify for the first round, and maybe the A-League teams in the second national round)?

Would be fair if they where also "ranked" the same by the FA and had the ability to gain promotion to the Aleague... until then they will always be on the wrong side of the Apartheid fence created by Lowy.

FA and APL completely different now. The FA should have faith and hold the NSD clubs as the nation's top tier clubs that are under the FA comp umbrella if they are geninuely serious. Australia is going to have two apartheid fences soon lol, A-league, NSD all closed shop and based on history, "professional" pro/rel never sits well once the clubs have the position. All perfect and great idea when they don't have the position but when they do, they shit their kegs and try to destory the plan of it.

All perfect and great idea when they don't have the position but when they do, they shit their kegs and try to destory the plan of it. Thats not necessarily true though is it? JJ and the FA have repeatedly insisted that Championship is being created in order to facilitate ambition and professionalism at ALL levels of the football ecosystem and that linking the whole thing together is the end goal... APL, by its very existence CANNOT DO THAT for fear of collapsing. If you want a CLEAR example of Apartheid, did you perhaps watch the round of 32 draw, in Melbourne, all 5 of the Victorian clubs gatherd at Hume Citys ground for a feed and a drink and some banter about the draw and the cup ahead... where was the Victory, CFG or Gypsie's table? Arent they, at least supposed to be geographically if nothing else, Victorian clubs? I agree that "bidding" for an inaugural spot in the top flight isnt the ideal way to go but, after 20 years of being frozen out of top flight national football, the thousands of real clubs in Australia are finally ready to move forward... lets get the ball rolling and the dominos will fall into place.
