Match of the round - probably the Sydney Derby. Should be a cracker of a game, with quite a few players making their cases for Olyroo selection.

The pitch is a shocker at Campbelltown. The nrl team (not sure who they are) must have been using it for training games.

That was a nice chance for City. Both Maclaren and whoever was outside him could have hit that in but didn't.
When I wear their colours, I am the club.

At least Macarthur play well. Massive mistakes not going Canberra and Tasmania.

Assuming Perth beat Western United and the Mariners beat Newcastle (neither set in stone) we will be in a position that Wellington and the Mariners have essentially qualified for the six. Western United then couldn't can't make the six and Newcastle would need to win 6 of their last 7 games to make the six.
Macarthur, Victory and WSW could basically draw their remaining matches and still make the six. Realistically SFC would not need to do much more.
We may well have 5 rounds when we already know the six. What then do the bottom six play for?

Teams not only keep trying to avoid relegation but also individual players will be wanting to secure/gain their starting 11 spot - or even impress other clubs to get higher paying transfer elsewhere. MCG do you know why City didn’t play Leckie and Tilio last night? If not injured why wouldn’t coach play 2 of his best?

We might not have relegation but there will be a few players and staff on the chopping block with the season we are having

We might not have relegation but there will be a few players and staff on the chopping block with the season we are having Cheers. Also interesting seeing the decline in Andrew Nabbout's minutes. His international career didn't reach great heights, though admittedly playing in the 2018 World Cup probably can't be beaten, but he would have significantly more than 10 caps for Lebanon had he taken up their offer in 2013 (he declined the invitation to play for Lebanon in preference to Australia). Given Lebanon's performance in the Asian Cup and his not being that old, he could still be making an appearance for them.

Archie goodwin earns a start.
More selection headaches for the olyroos tho with reec seeming to have taken over kuol as first choice and cook and bilapovic having some recent trouble getting game time
On the other hand rawlins might be even better than simmons, talbot and bovalina providing a different type of hesdache at rb

Remember when nabbout was on fire for jets a few years ago and he left to go to Japan? Always felt it was the wrong move but obviously you take it

Furious start by Sydney FC. There'll be split opinions on that handball penalty I think. Unlucky but certainly one that gets given from time to time.
