Funny how this thread doesn't have any responses but when it's bad news it goes to three four pages Maybe most of the responses have been deleted? Seems to be a fair bit of that going these days..... Or maybe people arent too keen on non football people taking over their franchise? Who knows?

- then the old owners get back what they've put in
- then the rest goes to the APL to help fund next season

I just want football to be great in this country & having a new owner for Newcastle is great for football, but alas those agenda driven followers don't like it. Agendas are one of the biggest reasons why football has never ever got their foot in this country & probably never will. The other codes are far more united.

The best thing about the announcement is that it seems the new owners recognise they represent Football NNSW which represents over 1.25million people. Rather than looking at a much smaller catchment in and around Newcastle (around 500,000) the seemed to be interest in offering a pathway for footballers.

How the fark does that work exactly Robbo? Poor administration aside (which I agree with you both were/are as shit as each other) how does 10 Australian business restricting the other thousand plus clubs from participating at the top level provide any "level playing field" or lack of "discrimination"???? Clubs cant get promoted up to Aleague, cant buy their way up to Aleague yet somehow they have an "agenda" for wanting to create a national competition outside the Aleague?

I applauded new owners for a football club in Australia in the top tier of Australian football, this is good news. I do not have the controlling ability to change the lack of level playing field at the top level, however, my team plays in the top level & all the Socceroos players mainly come from the top level, so hence I follow it. Like I said football administration has been terrible in this country for 50 years that I have followed it. I want Australia to have football as a community, with everyone under that same umbrella with a level playing field, however, this is my want, I don't have the ability to change it. Just like I want a fair & equal world, but that aint happening anytime soon neither.

+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+xStability is very important, great news for the Jets! Funny how this thread doesn't have any responses but when it's bad news it goes to three four pages Unfortunately we live in a world now where people feed off bad news, no wonder people are always angry lol. yep & we have a few examples on here. I just want football to be great in this country I'm sure we all do, APL is only a small part of it though& having a new owner for Newcastle is great for football No, it might be good for the franchise (we'll see) and it props up the APL experiment., but alas those agenda driven followers don't like it. You are Agenda driven, to support the APL Monopoly that restricts the rest of the gameAgendas are one of the biggest reasons why football has never ever got their foot in this country & probably never will. Lets try the Agenda of "Level Playing Field with no discrimination and equal opportunity" The other codes are far more united. Lets try the Agenda of "Level Playing Field with no discrimination and equal opportunity" I just want football to be great in this country I'm sure we all do, APL is only a small part of it though The APL is small or big that is an opinion, but it is part of the whole, not a small or a large part.& having a new owner for Newcastle is great for football No, it might be good for the franchise (we'll see) and it props up the APL experiment. Again, this is part of the whole of Football I'm talking about, not the part you talk about., but alas those agenda driven followers don't like it. You are Agenda driven, to support the APL Monopoly that restricts the rest of the game I follow an A-League team, like you followed an NSL team, difference is I don't like how the APL runs the top tier of football in this country, just like I didn't like how NSL was run. We have never had good administration in this country at any levels. Agendas are one of the biggest reasons why football has never ever got their foot in this country & probably never will. Lets try the Agenda of "Level Playing Field with no discrimination and equal opportunity" 100% agree with you this is exactly how I would like it, but we have never had it. This is the issue, we always have & always will have agenda driven people. The other codes are far more united. Lets try the Agenda of "Level Playing Field with no discrimination and equal opportunity" yes we should! So on the one hand you applaud a consortium paying millions of dollars for a particiaption license in a closed off forever franchise league and claim it is "good for all football" and from the other side you want a "Level Playing Field with no discrimination and equal opportunity" ??? Thats all you had to say ... fair enough then, enjoy the good news. See the difference is I don't care about Sth Melbourne.

In the A-league I found a club that didn't look at my ethnicity & hence why I now follow them.

I don't want any of my hard earned going to the APL, you know 2 systems will not do the game justice but I degress, its your choice as stated many times. Yes LFC it's a choice. It's same as the premier league, despite all the BS Liverpool & Klopp talks about Man City buying the competition, so did Liverpool, Man U, Arsenal. I really do the top 6 would P!ss off to the super league & allow the other clubs to compete fairly & equally. That is why I don't even want Derby in the PL, the championship is just fine by me, at least we can win that, we can never win the PL, unless we get brought out by some Middle eastern or American hedge fund. It's all about choice.

OR what their favourite snack is, or what colour their skin is? You claim to embrace all Australians yet still divide them up according to your petty little racist groups... so so sad.
