In high school you're forced to pick your friends from a select group of people in order to be socially 'accepted'. Once you leave high school you've got THE WHOLE WORLD to choose from. 6.5bn people and counting.

I find that some of my better friends these days are people from high school that I never spoke to back then.

I'm not asking for help or advice, because I don't expect people to understand the situation.

Everything RJL says is true. The friends you make after high school are the ones you have for life, whhether or not you go to university. People become more politically and culturally orientated as they get into their 20s, and you find you begin to drift from high school friends as you all develop your own views of the world.

Also, funnily enough you bump into these bullies even a few years after school and they themselves have matured and some even openly regret their childish behaviour in school. Of course, some people are just bullies their entire lives.

Yeah its a shit feeling, but high school is really a formative time in your life. But more so are the 10 or so years after high school. You may not have the personal make up to shrug things off like some other people can, but believe us that there is an entire life and lifetime of friends after year 12. :)

The room we were doing our exam in overlooked the street in front of the school. One of my mates was one of the first to finish, he walked out of the room, straight to his car, then proceded to rip a burnout right out in front while yelling out the window "PARTY AT MY HOUSE FUCKERS!"

I'll never forget my mate getting to the door of his final exam and shot-gunning a beer as he walked out the door. :lol:

They are trying to help you here, with ways to go about solving these problems. when you obviously don't want to go into detail but they still want to help they are probably going to miss a lot in terms of useable solutions.

You don't end school miserably if you just go "fuck it" and take shit as it comes. PEople are a lot cooler then.

You've just gotta stop caring so much! Some dick at my school started a rumour that I was gay which pissed me off a fair bit, but then I realised why the fuck would I care? I had a girlfriend who knew I wasn't, my friends knew I wasn't, so given that the only people at the school I actually cared about knew the real story, I realised why the fuck would I care what people I don't care about thought!

Still, the rumour probably would have gone away quicker if I didn't suck so many dicks... (see, as afro said you can make a joke about anything)

I care because I was having a pretty fucking great year up until recently, and I'd hate to end school miserable.

Fine, I'll just keep pretending that none of it bothers me. At least I've learnt my lesson about trusting people.

You do realise that in 1 months time when school is finished, YOUR NEVE GOING BACK TO THAT PLACE EVER AGAIN! The people there you will never see again! Chances are, even your friends there you won't even see after a year or so as your circle of friends will evolve as a result of meeting new people at work/uni/whatever.

Seriously out of my old school, there was 150+ people in my grade, I stay in regular contact with 5 of them, and just about everyone else I know are totally shocked and surprised that i'm still in contact with even that many! Most people stay in contact with 1 or 2 at the most!

Obviously there are facebook friends and shit, but sif they actually count as real friends...
