That's Adelaide for you! I remember running into him at Terrigal one day. What blew me away was how massive he was in person - I never knew he was that big! I used to play with him at ANUFC in 2009. Best player I've ever played with. Was big back then too. I used to see him a bit 'round Canberra but I don't think he's been back in a while. That's awesome! How good, yet slightly depressing, is it to have played with guys and being able to watch them play at a high level? I've played with a few HAL players, and against many of them in Newcastle state league. I've also had the pleasure of playing with&against many former NSL players. It's a delight to watch these guys either still playing after a pro career, or see them go on to bigger & better things. He was only 16 then but his dribbling was like dancing. He was very quiet and shy. Not cocky at all. He used to juggle a ball by letting the ball hit his foot as he took a step whilst walking. Very weird skill to watch and hard to explain. He went off towards the end of that season to the Nike chance competition and the rest is history. I next saw him at the labor club in belconnen as we watched the a-league gf in 2011 between Brisbane and the mariners.

WFMB: So a few weeks ago, I submitted an assessment into Uni, and I knew it wasn't my best work. It was last minute stuff, and the second half of the essay was written in the wee hours of the morning. Upon submitting it to Turnitin, I re-read it and found multiple errors, and also noticed I had done the wrong referencing style, as well as not done it in the format they had requested. Started to feel a bit squeamish about fucking it up. For the last 3-weeks, my tutor (who also doubles as a defence lawyer) has been saying how poor the quality of assignments handed in are, and how a lot of people have failed on the referencing, amongst other things. Apparently one person in my class was sent an email about plagiarism. Needless to say I've been stressing the last few weeks. Marks were released Monday, unto my knowledge. Rocked up to class today, a few classmates telling me they've scraped a pass, or failed both narrowly or heavily. So naturally, not having checked my result, I'm starting to get the sweats, nervousness. This assignment is worth 50% of the overall mark, I should add. After class, rush to the library, log onto my course. See my mark. 78/100. A Distinction. I don't think I've been more relieved in a long time. Nearly burst out laughing in relief.

I don't think I've been more relieved in a long time. Nearly burst out laughing in relief. Nice! I've had a situation where I was at work and a classmate came into the store in the morning and said "Have you handed in the assignment?". To which I was "It's not due til Wednesday" and he was "Uh, no, it's due 5pm today...". I hadn't started, was rostered on until 6pm and had no cover. I e-mailed the lecturer and gave some bullshit excuse about the afternoon shift having food poisoning and not being able to get to uni to drop in my assignment and got an extension until 8am the next morning. Pulled an all nighter, didn't get the code working until 4am and then had to write a 30 page report (padded out with test cases) which I got done at 7am. Rocked up to the assignment box right on 8, shoved it in and went home to die/sleep coma. We got the same talk about how most of the class struggled, some blatant copying of each others work, lecturer disappointed etc etc... I got 89%, the third highest mark in the class  Only lost marks because my report made absolutely no sense in sections (as I wrote it in a state of severe stress and sleep deprivation, it was almost comical to read.) Got bonus marks for adding some cool extra functionality to my code, which I only added whilst I was hitting a brick wall trying to think through why it wasn't compiling.

WFMB: Went to work, but due to a mix up where the boss forgot I was working tonight instead of yesterday due to the Arctic Monkeys concert, they sent me home as they had enough people tonight.

Edited by sydneycroatia58: 18/5/2014 08:55:54 PM  WFMB: had a killer weekend away on my cousins bucks party. We went to the ruff of Penrith and created havoc down there. Went whitewater rafting (absolutely unreal!), wakeboarding (sick) and generally made menaces of ourselves (pretty sure I lay claim to being the only person in history to get kicked out of Penrith Panthers club  and the best part was I just straight up walked back in an hour later  ). I'm still feeling the effects of the entire weekend now  The buck said the weekend was more than he could have hoped for, and had the time of his life. Top work all round! Also I didn't know a lot of his friends that came, but after this weekend it feels like I've become heaps good friends with all of them, and I just had an insanely good connection with about 2 of them and it felt like, after the weekend was finished, we had been best mates for years. A WFMB but also not.
One of my units had a mid sem worth 25% of overall mark and an assignment worth 25%.
Checked results last night to see I got 90 percent in the midsem only to realise I completely fucked up the dates for the assignment have missed the cut off date to hand it in all together.

WFMB: The last few months have been crazy man.
Got a new, high-paying job, and I'm flying all over the world on a near daily-basis lately, Blackpool survived relegation, I'm dating a hot Swedish blonde, and the other night I won a grand off the pokies from a 2 dollar bet.
Everything's coming up AJohn!
