Overall IMO FIFA is better than PES, the gameplay on FIFA is good enugh and the graphics are kickarse compared to PES. The revamped Be a Pro mode is very good too.

the only thing on fifa thats not licensed is the dutch national team, they wont give it to EA

The Dutch FA, like the German FA, only sell their rights to one football game. Since FM has the Dutch team rights, and FIFA has the German team rights...

When you are playing a game and have the camera at Tele or Broadcast, can you SEE the boots?

Aesthetics, although nice do not make gameplay better. See thats what funny about FIFA v PES debates. FIFA fanbois always list aesthetic things, boots, kits, names, stadiums, whereas PES fanbois always list gameplay things.

I disagree man. The thing that is undoubtedly most important in a game is the actual gameplay. The reason FIFA players always bring this up is a way to try and convince you that FIFA is better, becuase they know you dont have all those extra aesthetic shit.

Crowds, Player faces, are all cool things, but when it comes down to it, 99%of the your focusing on the gameplay

But you get over it pretty quickly. Maybe because I've been playing games since the mid 80s and appreciate gameplay over graphics any day. Sure graphics are nice, but 20 years ago you were subjected to huge blocky players and 2-bit sound. But it was awesome!

Like i say, i always rotate...I do play FIFA mostly for the Be a Pro and Manager mode, but then itll get a little repetitive and ill swap with PES...i never did get to play TIF though. anyone know wat it was like?

there's a major difference GAMEPLAY wise between the ps3/360 fifa's and ps2/pc. They're so far ahead now of PES on the newer platforms, its really quite hard to believe. The variety in goals, intelligent runs by cpu player... everything i used to love about PES is exactly what i am playing Fifa on ps3 for.
Not to mention Be a Pro which, when played with good teammates u know, is brilliant.

FIFA has gotten a whole lots better, but PES is more unpredictable...but Be A pro is awsome and completely different

PES has be a legend mode in 09.

The fabled God Mode happens when you are playing in a league (like Master League). The CPU gets invincible powers and can weave through your entire team and you cannot do anything about it. Your best players begin to act like 5yo and cannot do anything. This happens in the 90th minute when you are winning or the result is in your favour. It happens in knockout comps also.

Sometimes a lowly ranked team plays like they are the World XI and everything you do just does not work, and everything they do works like a charm. Its like the salary cap. Tries to even things out :lol:

And bet on it that if you have to win this one game to get promoted to the 1st division, that game will be near impossible to win.

Point A I have seen personally and it pissed me off to no end. Semi Final, Champions League in Master League mode. I was either winning or drawing which would get me to the Final. Stoppage time. It goes on FOREVER!!!! They run down the wing, getting past every single damn player of mine without fail. They cross it, my best player in my team, with "jump" and "header" stats in the mid 90s does a pissy little jump, the ball bounces off the TOP of his head and lands perfectly for a striker to smash it into the net. Game over :evil:
If this was the 10th minute, I would have either tackled them or the header would of cleared the ball. On PES fan forums there are huge debates weather this is true or not or just a figment of our imaginations.

It even happens with real life opponents. Sometimes everything I do works, and my real life opponent sitting next to me has no luck at all. its not the way they are playing, the programming is against them :lol:

The gameplay on PES is better than FIFA. With PES you are made to actually play football. And off passes and shite shots occur more often. Theres more possibilties. The only thing bad about PES is the whole master league and all that teams and shit. If PES were as pretty as FIFA off the field it would be the king of football games.

Im really getting into PES6 now. Im still getting used to navigating around the ML menu, its not as clear as FIFA which is a bit of a turn off. Second season with liverpool and im in second division where i started, i think i finished 3rd but i cant remember ive been playing this ML for 6 months. Currently leading after 8 games. Knocked out of the cup.

The whole point of master league is to use the default crappy players and build a team from nothing. Won't take you long to be promoted with that team. Try doing it with the default players like Ordaz, Jaric and co.

It will be hard for you to sign players because you are in 2nd division. Check the signing rating (those stars) to see how much of a chance you will have.

judging from the FIFA 09 demo i have to admit the gameplay has improved alot since FIFA 08 . its alot quiker and smoother it is perfect now. its got the gameplay of PES and the authenticity of FIFA. overall a great game , which leaves PES and their fanboiz in the dust

no, too fucking far. I travel far enough to work, let alone spending 4+ hours on a football match. Wanted to go to the Adelaide match though, thought it was a week after though.

Also startedo on a Valencia game on a forum with a bunch of other people. Will update tonight.
