I'm taking my time trying to get back into FIFA. I haven't played one seriously since 2004 on GameCube so sprinting through the defence and scoring just doesn't work anymore. :lol: I'm having problems with controlling the players but I'll get it in time. Be A Pro is great though I wish my defence actually knew how to tackle without giving away fouls. 09 doesn't have the Greek Super League either, so I don't think I'll be able to be transferred to Olympiakos since they have no league to play in.:cry: DISAPPOINTING!

I really enjoyed PES6 but hated the fact they didn't have more licensed teams. 2009 is coming out soon so hopefully it has more teams.

Im thinking about PESing. But im not sure. What would you do?

Well I had a failed 2 seasons at MV and a further 2 failed seasons at Portuguesa and my Pro is now finished. I'm now just doing a EPL season with Arsenal and it's so much more fun when the team as a whole is highly ranked. Still no Super League really shits me lol.

I prefer FIFA only because it has more teams.

I played 2 games online after I got 09. First one lost 2-1 as Valencia as my CB, intead of clearing a long throw upfield, instead basically passes it straight to their striker for some reason.

Planning on picking up PES09 today, looking forward to getting it.

Have been playing FIFA 09 for over a week now and am enjoying it, despite some minor frustrating things.

I played FIFA right up until about 06, then switched to PES for a couple of years but, despite loving the gameplay I just couldn't get the 'whole' experience playing with West Midlands Village all season; despite what the gameplay had I just couldn'get past the non-licensing issues etc.

Still, FIFA is taking most of my time at the moment (a little bit of Star Wars in as well) and just finished first season with Villa, snatched 3rd place from Man U on the final day with a come from behind draw. Chelsea won the title on Goal Difference against Arsenal.

Got knocked out of League Cup in semi's by Man U & then by Everton in a shocking performance in the FA Cup 5th Round.

Just started my 2nd season with Villa and picked up Mikel from Chelsea cheap and picked up Joaquin and some Fernando bloke in the Jan-transfer window, but am still trying to find a nice balance in mid-field (sounds like the English national team). Carew and Agbonglahor (spelling?) work well up front and Ashley Young is an absolute gun! Had a 0-0 draw against Roma in Champs League qualifying away from home, 2nd leg coming up next. Beat Derby 3-0 in the 1st game of the season, should have been about 10 (but I had a few drinks waiting for the Socceroo's game to start) and was a bit lazy.

What pissed me off though was the last game of the season was that the Chelsea and Arsenal and Man U games had all been played already so I knew who'd won the league and knew I on;y needed a draw to finish 3rd before my game - just a little let down.

Chelsea and Arse were about 10-15 points clear of me in 3rd, but I never lost to Chelsea all season, 0-0 at the Bridge, 0-0 at Villa Park (Ivy Lane or whatever) and beat them 1-0 at the bridge in the league cup after extra time.

Yeah I did that, but the commentators still say it and I miss not seeing the badges, I know it's small and somewhat petty but it means something to me.

I was an absolute pes6 addict, I edited all the badges, strips and players until they were correct. The next season I was going to re-edit them all up to date, but it was an utterly soul crushing task.

Played the PES demo and the FIFA one, though pes was horseshit this year, will definitely get fifa which makes me a bit :( .

So it's not out till the 30th. I'm sure I saw the release date as being earlier? Maybe I got that confused with the demo.

i dunno why but i had in my head that today was the day also, EU release date is tomorrow, maybe that's what confused me

i just started managing manchester united. i won the charity shield easy against pompey 4 - 1.
first game of the season was liverpool at anfield in the first half carragher got set off after 10 mins for being the last man and doing a stupid talk and gerrard got sent off in the 30 min for another stupid tackle. the final score in the game was 9 - 0 rooney scored six and this was on world class
