Started last night. Good pre-season only lost once against Arsenal. Beat Ajax 3-1 in the Dutch Super Cup and then a good solid 2-0 win against Feyernoord to start the season.

Sold Ruiz and brought a few players in on loan, and Enyeama too sort out the GK problem.

How many of you qualified for UCL, and how many had to settle for Europa. Anybody miss out completely?

I thought they got UCL auto seeing how they won the dutch league? i lost in the dutch cup and still made ucl

Am some what complexed at this team, we are last, we seem to draw alot of games yet in UCL we have drawn with Bayern and Valencia yet following game we need to play in extra time to beat a non-league team in the dutch cup

Ah damn. Yeah, the DB edit I downloaded gave me the Dutch Super Cup game like you guys would have, but it didn't (can't?) change me to be reigning champs, so I had to play two qualifiers to make UCL (First was 4-1 win over Celtic, second a 3-0 loss to Werder).

Haven't played at all today, have a shit ton of uni work due at the end of this week. Probably wont get to touch it till the w/e if I'm lucky.

I knocked off Ajax 3-2 in the Super Cup and my season opener is against NAC Breda away. Could prove problematic given the number of long-range shots my players have been taking.

I finished my first season with Twente in 8th spot but qualified for the Euro cup after winning the Dutch Cup 3-1 against Ajax. I was offered the post at Lokomotiv Moscow and turned it down as per the rules.

I'm surprised how many of you sold Ruiz... he's been great for me.

How's Bernard Parker faring? He has been great for me, but I know he has failed for Vaughn.

Ruiz had a great pre-season for me, but hasn't really done much else. But it's still early days.

I sold Bernard Parker, 1.5m for him seemed like a fair price.

If/when I move on from Twente I'll definitely come calling for Ruiz, Toloi and Enyeama.

Nah, I picked up quite a few.

Just about to start this challenge as I got bored of my Peterborough game. I lead them to the League 2 title and came runners-up in the first season. Second season I managed to win the Championship, the FA Cup and the Europa League. Last three seasons in the Premier League have been struggling in mid-table without doing well in cups. About time I started a new game then.

Had to do the full overhaul with Bristol. Finished 10th in my first season, and spent the off season working out who I would keep from the squad. Come Pre-Season I told the board I would get promotion, and then released all bar 6 of my players. Signed another 8 on frees and 4 on loans, so we're at 18 atm. Every pos is pretty much covered, but a little cover in case of injury would be nice. Can't afford it though, already 1.2k over wage budget. If the squad stays fit I can do it. But it's a long season.

Made Dentinho's deal permanent. He's been absolutely superb. Considering selling Ruiz, just because he is worth so much and has only been above average.

Took on Juventus to qualify for Champs League. Lost 2-0 at home, then 1-0 away.

Just got through the Janurary window with Twente. Lack of movement in the first window, some morale issues in the squad and poor league performance led to a few changes.

Knock out of Europa League too, only managed 8 points, and I've drawn Ajax in the Dutch Cup Semi.

Just entered January. Two signings that I'd already lined up, a DRL DM,MC from Brazil who is only 10k, good cover, and making Dentinho's deal permanent. He has been a superstar.

Had a nervy 0-0 home draw against Braga which was enough to secure Europa League qualification \:d/. Drew Leverkusen in the first knock out round. Will be tough, but with some luck I can do it. If I do managed to get past I face Kobenhavn or Spartak. Again, doable with some luck.

8 points clear at the top of the table, and have a home quarter final tie with ADO. All my wounded players are coming back, so should be good once football resumes in late Jan. All in all, going very well so far. The fans were ecstatic with Europa qualification which was nice.

So just finished up a fairly solid pre season but lost Ruiz to a horrendous tackle in the Dutch Super Cup for 6 months. FML. At least I will have him for 12 more months I guess.
