Encountering a slight problem here. Still first, all good. But it's January, time to re-do my squad registration, however both Nick Carle and Brett Emerton are down as the Australian Marquee. Now you're only allowed one AUS marquee, how do I change one back to international/regular marquee

Man City started taking an interest in Martin Skrtel so I made an offer of Skrtel + 10m for Otamendi. Sounds like a good deal to me. That'll give me Otamendi, Agger, Subotic and Coates down back. Solid CB options.

I had that problem. I kept having to offer one a new contract every half a year so they became just a marquee instead of Australian marquee.

Worst Scheduling EVER... Yeah, that's right, I play 4 games in 6 days at New Year.

My teams seem to get bad scheduling a lot. I have had a similar schedule around New Year several times and the bad scheduling left me having having to play as having to play 5 games in 9 days which included both the FA cup and Euro cup finals.

That's the price you pay for success sometimes. I'm more concerned about having 2 day lay-off for each game into an international break. Fortunately It's friendlies so I'll be able to withdraw players.

Thought I had seen bad scheduling until I looked at the end of this year. 3 games in 3 days.

Bit of a wonderkid. Despite the majority of his best attributes being set pieces, he is still a brilliant player for 16 years of age. Have signed him up but won't be coming until 2015.

Just finished my second season with Sydney FC - bar the finals. Won :) Awww Yeah. A much tougher season in some aspects then my first, easier on others. Midway through the season I went on a 7-game winning streak which took me from 5th to title contenders which was good. Top two race was a lot tighter then it was the previous season, only won the premiership on the last day of the season, I needed to beat Melbourne Heart who were last on the ladder (now coached by Branko Culina, Rini Coolen is at Newcastle Jets  ). Smashed them 4-1, despite having an early scare going down 1-0 in the opening 2 minutes. I'm very happy, I qualify for the ACL third time in a row, which is quite pleasing. Speaking of which, I was drawn into my 2nd consecutive champions league campaign with a tougher group then last year. Thus far, lost 2 of the 3 games, managing the scrape a 0-0 against Suwon Samsung Bluewings. One thing I've noticed is FM don't seem to rate the east Asian teams very high, I know they don't have publishing rights or whatever for the Japanese teams, but they seem to rate them shithouse (despite me getting smashed 4-1 against Gamba Osaka....). The West Asian (Middle Eastern) teams seem to be a lot stronger. They seem to be winning all their games against East Asian teams by large margins, and have won the ACL in the last 2 years. At the beginging of the season, I brought in 3 foreign loans, cheaper then buying players outright, also gives you the opportunity to terminate their loans if they turn shite. My Panamanian winger Carlos Ferreira who scored 2 in 8 in the back end of last season played 17 games this season without scoring. I umm'd and arr'd whether I should make the deal permanent, but he was asking a bit too much coin for what I was prepared to pay. I was hoping to extend the loan deal for another 6 months, but his parent club, Chepo FC had only got him for another month. He ended up going to Motherwell in Scotland on a free. Good luck to the lad. I have a Georgian (country, not U.S State) left back whose name is somewhat unpronounceable. I call him "Dave" he was excellent for us in pre-season (mind you, it's hard to not look good when you're beating NSW State League 1 teams 7,10-0) then picked up a major injury in the last pre-season game and wasn't available until mid-season. He's been decent without setting the world on fire. I'm not going to buy him out, I think I'll try and find another defender to bring in. Although the 1 foreign loan I've brought in that's set the world on fire is my Iraqi Striker Aljed Rahi. On loan from Steel FC in Iran, he's been brilliant, 18 goals this season, polished up the golden boot and I have a really good opening partnership with him and Bruno Cazarine. I'm definitely going to throw some coin and bring him in. He's 22 too, so he's got age on his side. The only problem is, the Iraqi national coach might start selecting him.. He's been spotted in the stands a few games, including the hat-trick he scored in a 7-0 win over a severely injury and suspension depleted Melbourne Victory. Juho Makela for me has been fantastic, too. He was golden boot for me last season with 14 goals, and he's chipped in with about 10 or 11 this season. I haven't started him many games, I'm using him as an impact player, and it's working wonders. Bringing him on around the 60th minute mark, usually for Cazarine, and there's not many games where he hasn't picked up a goal or too. I think every time we've been locked in a draw, and there's 20 minutes to go, he's gone and picked up the winner, or set up the winner. Mark Bridge isn't great, I've been using him as depth, he hasn't complained about lack of game time which i'm glad. But for some reason despite him not being a winger, he's scored 5 goals from the wing, when I've put him there because I've had no other option. I've got him training on the wing, so hopefully he can be a impromptu wing selection for me next season. I let go as few players on a free too, a few players who I thought their contract was a bit longer. Liam Reddy, who has been voted goalkeeper of the season, he's been immense. He's made some ripper saves this year, saved our arses on more then one occasion. He didn't want to be re-signed when I offered, so meh. Sebastian Ryall also leaves. I was hoping to sell him, but nobody wanted to buy him, or take him on loan. A few Scottish clubs were interested, but wern't happy with his wage demands. He only made one appearance this season, because he's shite. Last year he gave away so many penalties. This year, I brought him into the squad because of injury against Adelaide. 34 minutes in, he got himself sent off with a direct red card, and gave away a penalty. We got thumped 4-0. Glad to be rid of him, too. Good riddance to bad rubbish. Jamie Coyne was solid for us, I was going to give him a 1-year extension, but he declined. He left, as did Nathan Sherlock, who wasn't too bad. Going to be a fair bit of spending in the transfer window. I'm hoping to bring in Schwarzer to replace Reddy, or Bouzanis. Nathan Coe has been touted as a new national team keeper, so I might express some interest in him. Bring on the finals!

I've picked up a couple of very talented young players to come and give the established players a run for their money. Mostly in midfield. I love having a young and athletic midfield.

I hate it when you get in a losing streak and nothing you do pulls them out. Im teetering on the edge of getting sacked at the minute.

I lost 4 on the trot at FC Utrecht after only losing 4 the entire previous season on the way to League & Cup double. It dropped me to 11th and all but ended my Eredevisie chances in October with Ajax racing away unbeaten. Decided to bite the bullet, quit and got offered the Leicester job a week later.

I haven't played much this week. I knew my 17 game unbeaten run would come to a crashing halt as soon as I reloaded, of course, lost or drawn 4 on the trot, completely struggling now, we've dropped down to 4th, we can't manage more than a few shots.

Got smashed in my second Asian Champions league campaign. Came last :(. Had to make a few interesting changes in the off season. Liam Reddy who seemed to become the best keeper in the A-League didn't want to re-sign, so he left on a free ended up with Perth. Same story with Mark Bridge. Although I wasn't starting him, using him more as depth, he was handy without being spectacular. He ended up with Brisbane along with Sebastian Ryall. I signed Matthew Jurman from Brisbane, and Manny Muscat to strengthen my defence, he was playing in the middle east. Unfortunatly I couldn't re-sign my Iraqi striker, he was only avaliable for another 3 months, and I have no coin left because the board are not giving me money this transfer window. :x. Next season is my third season with Sydney - probably going to be my toughest, big expectation to live up too having finished 2nd and lifted the Championship in the my first season, finishing 1st and lifting the Premiership last season, and being knocked out in the preliminary final.

Is there anyway I can get my Ass Man to book a shit ton of Reserve Friendlies each season, or am I gonna have to do it myself? Freaking SFA and dumping Reserve Comp, ridiculous trying to promote youth with nothing between U/18 and First Team to keep them occupied.

Ended up winning the EPL with Everton in my first full season. Am very surprised with this achievement considering I made only four changes to the starting eleven from when I came in to the role: Gary Cahill, Danny Welbeck, Ryan Shawcross and Sebastian Corchia. Welbeck was immense for me, while Shawcross was one of the competition's best performers. Timmy Cahill was once again one of my best performed. I brought in Chris Herd and James Troisi as depth signings, and by mid season both were regularly coming off the bench and playing very well.
Had a slump at the back end of the season where I lost to Man Utd, whom finished 2nd, lost to Arsenal and lost to Sunderland. Also had a few draws in there. Ended up winning the league on the 2nd last match day.
Now focusing my attention on the World Cup. Have scheduled four friendlies: Ecuador, Portugal, Turkey and Brazil. Beat Ecuador 2-1, with Mathew Leckie scoring the winner in the last few minutes.
