Some extremely lenient chairmen in my save. Man City were in the bottom half of the table for a whole month at least and Mancini kept his job. Same deal with Liverpool/Dalglish.

I have the same problem in my adelaide save i signed a 17 year old who made his debut in round 1 off the bench..scored an own goal his confidence went way down and havent played him since....

You just gotta give him the right pep talk pre-game. It's all in the pre-game talk. That said, I constantly have similar problems with Jordan Henderson's confidence. He struggles with big games.

Chelsea finally lost their patience with AVB as they finished 7th and sacked him at seasons end 2014. Mike Ashley finally sold Newcastle, they finished 17th, Alan Shearer got the boot.

Can't honestly say I've noticed any more OG's in my current save. Will keep an eye out in the FFT save.

AVB got sacked after the 1st season as Chelsea finished 8th. He then managed Sunderland and they got relegated in his 1st season there, now manages Shakhtar

I don't expect him to find another job for a while after this season.

Another funny fact is that last season, Mourinho and McLaren were in different jobs, namely, each others. Mourinho got fired from City, McLaren wanted to go there, Arsenal fired him for showing no loyalty, so City hired him, and Arsenal hired Mourinho :lol:.

Watching Moneyball last night reignited my passion for Football Manager. Will continue my Liverpool save, and will try not to rush into things.

Taking the moneyball approach in FM doesn't work. I've tried it.

Just out of interest, roughly what is the concept behind moneyball? Everyone seems to be talking about it but I didn't bother with the film.

The idea is that you ignore the glossy big-name players and sign based around statistical performance instead. Basically what Liverpool are failing at doing.

Playing as Southampton. So inconsistent. Sitting 13th but only 2 games out of the playoffs but just cant seem to hit any form. Got a decent squad, but cant quite get the right formation. First half of the season was basically WLWLWLWLWD like that, 2nd half so far has been WDLLLLWDLL so annoying.
