You just gotta give him the right pep talk pre-game. It's all in the pre-game talk. That said, I constantly have similar problems with Jordan Henderson's confidence. He struggles with big games.

Can't honestly say I've noticed any more OG's in my current save. Will keep an eye out in the FFT save.

He then managed Sunderland and they got relegated in his 1st season there, now manages Shakhtar

I don't expect him to find another job for a while after this season.

It's 2018 in my Game and;
Chelsea are managed by Tony Pulis Man City are managed by Steve McLaren Arsenal are Managed by Jose Mourinho United are managed by Martin Jol Liverpool are managed by Marcelo Biesla, who just led them to the title.
Villas Boas was fired in Dec 2011, Moved to Shalke for 2 season, then 3 years at England, now at Sevilla. Arsene has retired, he left first season to manage France, lasted a year, and then spent a year at Barcelona () Kenny retired in 2013 from 'pool, Fergie retired the same year.
Another funny fact is that last season, Mourinho and McLaren were in different jobs, namely, each others. Mourinho got fired from City, McLaren wanted to go there, Arsenal fired him for showing no loyalty, so City hired him, and Arsenal hired Mourinho .

Legitimate goal gets ruled out during game. Press conference after game asks me about some penalty shout that I don't even remember being turned down.
I'm slightly confused right now.

Aston Villa sacked McLeish, hired Pulis. Stoke hired Mcleish. Lars Jacobsen is Blackburn boss in 2013. 1 year as an assistant and then became manager

Same thing happened to me. Won the final game of the season 2-1 over Rangers. So I won the league by 9 points. Belluschi got Golden Boot and players POTY. de Jong got FW player of the year, followed by Hooper. Moras got second in SPL player of the year. Shelvey won players young POTY. Bertolacci won SPL young POTY. I won manager of the year and writers manager of the year. Peluso, Moras, Belluschi, de Jong and Hooper named in TOTY. One game to go - Scottish Cup final. A win would complete the treble. CARN!

Wait about 20 seconds. Generally works then.

Try and restart steam. Once you log back in it should work. Well at least it did for me.

Played a friendly against Real Madrid for the third time now...every time Ronaldo runs around and breaks someone's leg. First Gerrard, then Ageuro and now Johnson. Such a cunt.

Watching Moneyball last night reignited my passion for Football Manager. Will continue my Liverpool save, and will try not to rush into things.

Taking the moneyball approach in FM doesn't work. I've tried it.

Just out of interest, roughly what is the concept behind moneyball? Everyone seems to be talking about it but I didn't bother with the film.

The idea is that you ignore the glossy big-name players and sign based around statistical performance instead. Basically what Liverpool are failing at doing.

Tops WC group of Uruguay, Greece and Congo. Brazil win just one game and finish second in Group A with USA finishing top ahead of Mali and Souvlakia, so I play them in the stage of 16. In Brazil. Cuntsticks. Go out defensive, concede 1, they're looking dangerous to score a second. I decide to throw caution into the wind. Switch to attacking and change to short, quick passes. Score one. Then another...then a third...by half time it's 5-1. BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! Second half commenses. Wilshere, Rooney and Milner add second goals. 8-1 at FT. MOST AMAZING WIN EVAR! QF I meet the winner of Italy v Switzerland. SF I can potentially meet the winner of Germany or Holland and Cameroon or Chile. Tough side of the draw? I think so.

I've seen it all now
Brede Hangeland makes a run to the nearpost as a corner comes in. I'm expecting a big towering header into the back of the net. Nope, motherfucker does a bicycle kick at the near post to score

I need to sign like 3 defenders, so many injuries and jaded players.

Playing as Southampton. So inconsistent. Sitting 13th but only 2 games out of the playoffs but just cant seem to hit any form. Got a decent squad, but cant quite get the right formation. First half of the season was basically WLWLWLWLWD like that, 2nd half so far has been WDLLLLWDLL so annoying.
