My first choice DM Max Brown went away on international duty with the US U23's squad on the 16th of February, it's now the 17th of March and he's still away with them. "Oh wow! How many games has he played with them?" I hear you ask. Oh, just THREE FUCKING GAMES!! March 8th, 10th and 12th. That's right, he's been away for a month and played all his games in the space of 5 days. What the FUCK, FM?
Moreover, Gerrard is injured, Cavey is suspended, Hamsik needs a rest, Valcercel isn't ready to lead the midfield...which leaves me with Lucas and Henderson. NOT IMPRESSED.

Thought I'd start a new save. Decided to start with France and just apply to every club job available. Ended up with Ural in the Russian 2nd Division. Currently in 9th, just 3 points, with a game in hand, off the last qualifying spot for the Championship Group at the end of the season. Came to the club with them languishing in 17th place out of 19 teams. 10 games in charge so far, 8 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss.
Have also qualified for Euros with France, finishing easily on top of my group ahead of Romania.

Oscac Valcercel is on the verge of playing his 20th career game for the club. Part of his contract is a pay increase from 7k/week to 25k/week. The day before he's due to play that game, his agent comes to me demanding a pay increase. Of less than he would have been paid in a days time. Nice one, FM.

Striker I promoted from the youths was due a raise to like, 8k a week after one more app. I offered him a new contract which gave him a higher wage but reduced the raise to 4k. He gladly accepted, halving what his salary would have been in days time.

You really need the media option to accuse your opposite number of dirty tactics after losing 3 or 4 players to injury in tackles in a game.

Line up thus: Aguero-Pato Griezmann-Lucas-Gerrard-Suarez Enrique-Otamendi-Subotic-Regen Reina
Arsenal line up thus: Carlos Fierro Ayew-Wilshere-Walcott Arteta-Fellaini Pereira-Vermaelen-Koscielny-Sagna Szczesny
Lose 6-1...at Anfield. Please explain?

4 consecutive EPL titles and that ending a 9 game winning streak says otherwise.
But thanks for your always important opinion, bonkers

He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

Dwight, I work in a nightclub, there are drugs. You can't work and look friendly and like you're partying for 2-3 days at a time without occasionally being involved in that. It's a 'necessary evil'. Don't you have other people to go and pass judgment on from up on the mount?

Sometimes I don't understand how the transfer system in Football manager works. I needed a right back so I offered 12 million to AZ for a young player that they had. They reject the offer and on the same day accept 6.75 million bids from Benefica, Chelsea and Osasuna. On another player I had my transfer offer of 10 million accepted and negotiated a deal where the player got 2.3 million a year. Then Real Madrid come in offer 7 million for the player, have their bid accepted and then sign him on a deal where he is on 500,000 a year to wallow on the sideline.

Current Club Hastings United. Dafuge Challenge. Division Blue Square South Season 2012/2013 Expectations Avoid Relegation.
Season 1 complete.
Finished 18th on 46 points, 11 clear of 20th placed Weston in the drop zone. We started pretty badly with a failing 442 formation not even getting us on the board, but a swap to a 4-5-1 helped immensely. We were comfortably above the drop for pretty much the entire season. Our finances sit at £47,950 in the red. Our pre-season friendly schedule kept us afloat as usual in the lower leagues.
We bought our stadium out after I randomly asked the board during the season and they agreed. This will cost us 6.75k a month for the next 15 years. Overall the cost is £1,000,000 financed by bank loan. So basically £200,000 in interest. I have no idea if this will help or hinder the club in the future.
A huge clean out is about to happen. About half the players in the squad are going. I'm going to re-sign the best 7, and require another 12 players to fill the squad, and another 2 more after that if possible. Promoting whatever garbage youth players we have left to fill some spots.
The new season starts. I clean out the shit. Got ready to start signing up players, then the board fucked me in the ass by giving me a wage budget of about £86,000 or so. I was already spending £81,000. And needed to fill pretty much all the spots. I've barely managed to cobble together a first choice 11 of quality, pretty much every other position is filled by absolutely crap and the handful of youth players I had. I still need another midfielder.

April 28th: Board request to expand stadium from 68,000 capacity rejected due to it 'not being in the best interests of the club'. May 22nd: Board announce plans to add another 16,000 seats to the stadium at a cost of 21m.

My board keep injecting money in. I think it's got to do with the stadium repayments, but it's very helpful. They made 3 in the space of a month a while ago. Have put about £300,000 in so far this season.
Funnily enough we'd still be in the black without them. They are adding money for no real reason. Got £255,000 in the bank.
As I type they just put in another £30,000. So we're up to £280,000 in the black.
We're going to finish in mid-table obscurity. Had a great first half, couldn't crack the promotion spots and we've slowly slid down the table.
Have sorted out my requirements for next season.
1s Choice GK CB
2nd Choice GK DR CB DL DM MC
3rd Choice CB MC ST
So.. a lot.

Started a new save with Melbourne Heart purely because I've never played the A-league before. Started by promoting most of the youth team into the first team, some quality players coming through the youth ranks.
Made a massive marquee signing of Mamadou Diarra- the ex- Real Madrid player. only costing me 22000 a week for wages aswell.
Sold Maycon and Alex Terra and brought into a Serbian GK to replace Bolton.
Had a very impressive pre season so far with results wins in every game. David Williams and Dugandzic have been on fire so far, with Fred and Diarra racking up the assists.
Enjoying this save more than the last few already, good to do something a little bit different.

Just finished my first season with adelaide did pretty well but extremely consistent close to the end of the season i went on a 5 game winning streak and if i bet bottom placed newcastle we wld go top but then lost 4-1 and that killed me and lost the rest of my regular season games and finished 5th so didnt have the home fans behind me and we'd been excellent at home all season so that sucked. the played brisbane in our first final and.....
got smashed 4-1 :(

To pass holiday boredom I've resurected my Reading save on FM09 that was probably my favourite career. I had an epic end to the season that saw me guide Reading to 6th spot (2010/11) clinching European action on the final day in a fixture against 7th placed Everton. After Chelsea had a woefull season finishing in 8th I was offered their top job but declined to stick with Reading who I've developed a major soft spot for in this game. Ben Foster was named keeper in the team of the year, Mascio was selected in midfield as well as Young Player Of The Season and Gignac was selected up front after finishing runner up in Player Of The Season, however I sold him off for 27mil to Madrid and have invested a heap of that to add more depth to the squad. Lining up like so Foster Santon - Vermaelen - Escude - Antunes Valencia - Mascio - VDV - Fleck Borriello - Keirrison De Guzman M'Bia Zucculini Hazard Upson R Sneijder Doyle Mascio is one of the best midfielders in the EPL at 19 and has shown no interest in the numerous bids from bigger clubs that I've had for him. Fleck has become an absolute freak as of late and Keirrison looks like the perfect replacement for Gignac. But after such an over achieving finish I have had a few players let it get to their heads and demand transfers but for the most part they've been replaced with better options. Escude, Upson, Hazard, M'Bia and Mark Noble were all signed on free transfers, whilst Keirrison, VDV, Valencia and Borriello combined arrived between January and now for less than 25mil. I'm hoping to finish top three this season and win in Europe. Edited by fredsta: 9/4/2012 12:40:54 AM
