Welcome aboard Guest - all we have to do is remove that black and white heart of yours and you'll be a thoroughly useful member of society.
Oh, I forgot, you want to be a lawyer - better get rid of that as well.

And as predicably expected, benjamin and his troupe will come on this forum now and excuse and defend the indefensible.
What a shame.
A South Melbourne home game between 2 clubs of the same cultural background was abandoned because of crowd bad behaviour.
What a shame, what a disgrace and what an embarrassment to those working hard at FFA headquarters to convince the sporting public of Australia our game has put all this despicable shit behind it for good.
Hang your heads in shame you bastards.
you're a chammpion - if ever there was a person determined to destroy a club - even if it meant damaging the game in the process - your it Don't worry TOB's there will be firm action from the club as a result of this

Just think how the SMFC Club Committee feel and how supporters like myself feel who try to do the right thing. With 3,000 crowd and 10 or so idiots wreck it for us all. Hopefully they are banned for life, hopefully we can all get over the bull shit stereotyping as pointed out by sydneycroatia58 and keysor

Even though this a minority there is still hundreds of fans at these clubs that could at some point just snap, be overcome with emotion and do something crazy.
What will happen if you came into the A-league and all the hardcore people who don't currently attend come to the games, it would be a ticking timebomb. Sorry Jimmy your going to have to settle for the state leagues So is it only fans of ethnic clubs that have the potential to 'snap' as you called it. You are sar far from the mark it's funny. You act as if there is Jo crowd trouble in the A-League and all it's supporter are fuckig angels. Where the fuck do you get off claiming that most of the fans at 'these' clubs could snap and become crazy and violent. And people wonder why fans of the old NSL clubs hate the A-League and it's fans so much. It's the assumption that all these effniks are crazy and just a timebomb waiting to go off. It's that stereotyping that pisses us fans of the old NSL right off. Edited by sydneycroatia58: 14/4/2010 12:34:58 AM Your right I over reacted out of frustration when I read the article, we have these people that can't control themselves at A-league clubs as well, just not as many and they are better controlled by both their peers and security. It is just so frustrating that a club that knows it and its supporters are under so much scrutiny still has this sort of behaviour. I think most supporters at all levels want a cup competiton and also a second divison but as long as this sort of shit keeps happening it just won't be possible. Seeing the posts from a few of the supporters of the old clubs they seem to condone this sort of behaviour by saying that it is just passion, this minority needs to be shut out of these clubs or there will continue to be problems.

Sounds like the actions of a few morons. Every club has morons who support them, no matter the background of the club.
I love the A-League, and I thank the football gods every day that it was started, but loads of A-League clubs have had problems with their fans (Middleby incident, pub smashing by MV supporters, CCM supporters crashing threw the fencing etc) yet people like Ton of Bricks choose to ignore them so they can continue their passive racism.
The biggest issue facing football in this country is ‘the enemy within’. Not every supporter of non A-League clubs are like solympic, believe it or not, many are just football supporters who have stayed loyal to clubs they have been following for a lifetime.
If we want to achieve anything in this country with our sport, the olive branch (no pun-intended) needs to sought. When the FFA launched the A-League they used the motto “Uniting the Tribes”, well I don’t think anything but a widening gap as occurred.
Ignore idiots like solympic, even his own fellow Olympic fans think he is an idiot, and try not to turn everything into us vs them…….we are all football fans after all.

I was joking (a little bit). Now let's be serious:you can't ban so harsh a club because of a small minority of the fans.

The fact is that everytime someone does something like this at an old "ethnic" club, all the old jealousies and stigmas will resurface. If you are an "ethnic" club, surely people will, rightly or wrongly, understand that. If it was an A League game, the media will just call them soccer hooligans. If its South, or Sydney United, or Bonnyrigg etc, it takes on the racial slant. Not saying its right, but thats the way it is.

Good that everyone took notice of that isn't it? Thankfully due to us being part of the AFC we are required to have this become a reality due to our desire to continue participating in the ACL! We're also required to have a system for promotion/relegation, I can't see that happening too soon. I suspect that there will be a lot of fiddling with structures to find a way that the FFA can maintain control of the A-League whilst it 'appears' to be an independant competition - but the situation with Archie Fraser and Ben Buckley this week demonstrates clearly that there is currently no division between the two entities what-so-ever.

I thought my response was pretty quick. ;) There's no one on this forum that could post anything more upsetting to me than the site of those dickheads running onto the pitch - or of them trying to justify their actions as they were escorted from it. As you said earlier, there's plenty of bother at A-league games - none of it worth discussing though because it's all "meh". Same with Sunday's incident - f*cking stupid behaviour, but no one was hurt and nothing was broken. The FFV will deal with the incident.
