Source: Supplied IT'S been in hibernation for 11 years. Universal Pictures has hired screenwriters to fast-track a "Jurassic Park 4" movie. Steven Spielberg-produced TV series Falling Skies returning for second season The studio contracted husband and wife team Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver, who recently wrote box-office hit Rise of the Planet the Apes starring James Franco, Andy Serkis and Freida Pinto to write the script, website Deadline reported. The first three films - Jurassic Park (1993), The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997) and Jurassic Park 3 (2001) - have collectively grossed over $1.9 billion worldwide. Steven Spielberg, Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall are set to produce the fourth installment of the dinosaur adventure franchise based on Michael Crichton's best-selling novel. Spielberg, however, won't direct, with the sci-fi adventure "Robopocalypse" consuming his time. http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/entertainment/movies/universal-pictures-hires-rise-of-the-planet-of-the-apes-writers-rick-jaffa-and-amanda-silver-to-write-jurassic-park-4/story-e6frexli-1226414824970 absolutely love me some jurassic park. if it has dr alan grant in it, it'll be good.

Benjo wrote:Saw Ted yesterday. Good film. It's a one-joke film, but boy does it milk that joke well. I also have had urges to watch Flash Gordon since watching it  keen to check ted out. heard good things. my favourite line i've found on the internet about the movie is: "i find it hilarious that men are currently interested in going to the movies to watch a movie about a teddy bear, whereas women are currently interested in going to the movies to watch a movie about strippers"

Seeing some of the tweets about preview screenings for TDKR I don't know if I will survive the next 10 days.

And again. @marcogennuso: Here's what I'm reading from the press screening of The Dark Knight Rises: "Chris Nolan has outdone himself & created a masterpiece". #TDKR @marcogennuso: If this does not break the mold and win Best Picture, no comic book movie ever will" #TDKR @aceshowbiz: 'The Dark Knight Rises' Gets Standing Ovation During Press Screening

Prometheus and Amazing Spiderman dissapointed me, they were still good but they lacked a bit of quality where it was needed
He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

Ridley Scott direction almost guarantees great cinematography, but the script was written by Damon Lindelof, the guy who brought us some of the world's most stilted dialogue in Lost...

I've avoided all things TDKR for the past couple of years. But was forced to watch the trailer for the very first time when I saw Prometheus a month ago. :( It ruined my plan to go into the movie completely blind.

Bar Shaw and David I didn't like other characters, that may have been because of poor writing or just their obsession with the cinematography and the 3D aspect. It also pissed me off how nothing was really explained, even though I know theres going to be sequels I would at least like to know a bit about what was happening Also with Spiderman, to much emphasis on special effects and cute jokey scenes instead of showing the limits of the Lizard and Spiderman characters

I saw 2D Prometheus. How did the 3D version compare to Avatar 3D (the gold standard)?

Avatar's 3D was pretty average I thought. Wasn't worth getting excited about.
Went and saw Ted last night...since when are movie tickets $18.50?! No wonder nobody goes to the cinema any more! Fucking $37 for me and my date...I could almost go to dinner for that much! I could pay $2 for microwave popcorn and download the fucking movie at home. And on top of that I wouldn't have to sit through 20 minutes of shitty ads before the movie.
The movie itself wasn't too bad. Standard Seth MacFarlane. A couple of decent hyucks but nothing truly had me in stitches. Solid movie.

Anyone seen 'There Will Be Blood'? Its been labelled a 'classic' movie.
How did you rate it & more importantly WHY? Is it confronting? Is it a thinking person's movie?

Day-Lewis is fantastic Haven't seen it but I concur, he is a brilliant actor, anything he's in is worth a viewing imo. I've had it sitting on desktop for a few months now, I might get around to watching it soon.

IGN has given TDKR a 9/10. They've got a pretty much spoilerless review up if anyone is interested. I got through the first paragraph and chickened out lol
