loved the end interview with pim Int: So we need to score goals next game against Serbia, how do you plan on doing that" PV: We go out there and we get the goals. Simple. *sigh* If only picking up women was as simple as going out there and getting them
WOLLONGONG WOLVES FOR A-LEAGUE EXPANSION!

So basically, if we can score 2 goals and Germany win 2-0, we're through. No. If we win 2-0 and Germany win 2-0 our goal difference would be -2 and Ghana's would be -1. They'd go through not us.

An 8 goal win will guarantee qualification no matter what the result in the other match. Should the other match end in a draw we would then go through on goal difference at the expense of Germany.

He should've taken off Cullina instead of Wilkshire for Rukavytsa. Valeri was very good.

Culina was no doubt, the worst player for us. He continues to stifle our transitional game. poor decision making with his insistence on opting to pass backward nullified our effectivness going forward and places unnecessary pressure on the defence to pass out again or just give the ball to Shwarz to bomb up field with only a 50/50 chance of regaining possession. we could've had 3 or 4 excellent attacking positions in their half if it weren;t for his dreadful decision making. he lost the ball deep, in dangerous areas, dwelled on the ball far too long, and his composure on the ball has evaporated. lumping the ball in the air to no one in particular instead of taking a touch, and giving the ball away just placed us under persistent pressure. as a screener, he rally isn't very good. I think we can do better. either play him at rb, or not at all imo

Doesn't seem too far of the question... Except option c. Lol. If we keep playing like we did tonight it doesn't have to be over.

freakzilla316ftw wrote:Cullina killed us today. He lost possesion way too much today and didn't show enough ergency the whole match. Today showed Chipperfield and Grella should no longer start anymore. I'd leave Rukavytsa till the last 20min when the defense has tired although his speed could possibly get Vidic sent off like how Torres always does it to him :P. Chipperfield can start if up forward though, but agree he is no good at the back anymore.

My lineup would be-
4-2-3-1-
GK- Mark Schwarzer
DR- Luke Wilkshire DL- David Carney DC- Lucan Neill DC- Michael Beauchamp
DM- Mile Jedinak DM- Carl Valeri
AMR- Brett Emerton AML- Mark Bresciano AMC- Tim Cahill
ST- Joshua Kennedy 4 goals should be enough I think Say AU 2-0 and DE 2-0 (AU scored 3 goals, Ghana 2) or AU 3-0 and DE 1-0. (AU scored 4 goals, Ghana 2) a 1-0 and 3-0 would mean Ghana go through I think. Perhaps I am wrong, if anyone knows the rules better please correct me :) Edited by canehdrian13: 20/6/2010 02:32:44 AMWait no I am wrong, sorry Edited by canehdrian13: 20/6/2010 02:34:22 AM

Culina for mine and would be a temptation to play Chippers in place of Bresciano. Ruka is a definite chance as the Serbs did not cope with Podolski's pace the other night and Ruka is quicker than him.

i dunno. i think i'd swap ruka in instead of kennedy, leaving the latter as an impact player. apart from that, the only question would be culina-v-jedinak. otherwise, agree wholehartedly.
tonight just totally proved how the 4-2-3-1 can be a very aggressive formation when used appropriately. about time we saw pim bring it out.
