We'd probably enjoy some consistency, so if Adam was going to get a yellow for tugging Modric's shirt, then Kaboul's on Suarez on the edge of the box was a yellow. For example.
That was hardly even a free kick, Suarez is a sack of shit who should have got a red at half time, did he miss the "respect" message. I wouldn't call it a card when it was just a free kick with Suarez simulating. What was Liverpools problem? They lost it completely with discipline. Lost a heap of respect for Lucas, every time Pool got a free kick he was in the referees face demanding cards. Get over it sweetheart. He grabbed his shirt when he was turning and pulled him over. Watch the replay. It was exactly the same situation as Adam's shirt pull - the attacker had bettered the defender and was going to get away, so he got his shirt pulled. The only difference was that Suarez was in a scoring position, and Adam was close to halfway. Suarez has a reputation that precedes him. Referees have a problem with him, and they have done since the first game he played. Edited by dizzy_red: 19/9/2011 11:30:27 AM

Well, you're fundamentally, and horribly, wrong - and the main reason is that there's only one manager, with one of the shortest stays ever, who wasn't wanted and was put in place as a yes-man by owners desperately trying to cling onto the club, who received that treatment. And he's just been thrashed 3-0 by Swansea and produced a team with consistently poor performances. There was more spirit in the players than any kind of skill in the wins that Hodgson produced. Every other manager since Kenny's last spell has managed us until their natural end and received the support of the fans: Souness, Evans, Houllier, Rafa - they've all been given a fair chance because they had the blessing of the fans. Besides which, this is the first game where we've actually played badly. Regardless of the result at Sunderland (inexperienced RB giving away his zone) or the failures at Stoke (failure to convert, but dominated the game), this is the best we've looked since the 2008 start.

Thats because he goes down way too easy. Really his own problem. I disagree with Adam's first yellow, it was only a free kick. His second well i've seen straight reds for less.

We had 9 fouls for 6 yellows, they had 10 fouls for 1 yellow. Make of that what you will.
No excuse for the poor performance, but I thought Jones had a bit of a mare.
At least they'll all be back for the game v Wolves. Especially hope Kelly is back.

I was impressed with Coates though. For a first timer he looked right at home, the others need to pull weight. Skrtel is not a right back, especially not against Bale. And im just saying, but Carroll is shite. He may have been good at newcastle, but he does not fit the liverpool system and the way liverpool should play. if i was kenny i would have played Gerrard and Aqua infront of Lucas. Not Adam and Gerrard and not Henderson and Gerrard. Adam has not impressed me at all.

How can you attack Carroll after a match where he went closest to scoring and had absolutely zero service?

I've already expressed my disdain for the refereeing this season, no surprise that the week after KD publicly complains about the refereeing we cop the short end of the stick again. That doesn't excuse the performance as a whole though. So many of the side were poor and we just looked gutless for most of the game.

Yeah, so it's okay for officials to be intentionally biased against a player because of a perception that he goes down too easily? On the other hand, he's so annoyingly good in the box, he actually gets taken down a lot. Nani and Berbatov both go down like sacks of shit when they get breathed on - much worse than Suarez. Why aren't they subjects?

Suarez can elbow and bite as many people as he wants, just as long as he scores goals
As for Carroll, I didn't think he played that badly yesterday, we were playing with 9 men! I agree with what Bozza said after the match, KD should play the same 11 (minus Adam and Skrtel obviously) against Brighton and try get some confidence back.

Perhaps a yellow for simulation every time would do the trick.

There would continually be games abandoned because of teams not having enough players on the pitch.

Ok maybe not cautions but he is regarded as one of the biggest divers in the league. He gets more shit than anyone but you don't agree?
Suarez had one or two dives and people called him on it. That is life, it doesn't mean he cops more than Berbatov and Nani.
(Please tell me you googled the number of cautions, because if you knew that off the top off your head you have problems:d)
EDIT: Just looked it up, he has had 12 yellows.

I do think he gets a lot of shit, yeah... but unfortunately, not from the right people. I think the standards are far too subjective. Remember when Ozil took a dive in the WC and got a card? More of that, please.
Suarez is nowhere near as bad as Nani. I have yet to see the rolling around on the floor or multiple Klinsmanns that Nani does.
And yes, I looked up the cautions on Soccerway. :P
