Got a Renegades membership for Christmas, was going to buy one anyway so saved me money. Loving going to the Big Bash though. Renegades put 2 great games in a row on...can't help but think though that it's primarily due to Finch and Pattinson.

He's only been in the team this long because we are winning. Faulkner's not the long term option though, our batting is still to frail we need a proper batsmen.

Maybe dropping Watson down and bringing in someone with some consistency for the number 3.

Given it's a dead rubber, do you give Alex Doolan a chance to step up? Or are they calling up Faulkner to give Watson some competition for the all-rounder spot in the team?

I wouldn't mind them giving Doolan a chance, he does have the best figures in shield cricket at the moment.

Just heard on 'Inside Cricket' apparently there keeping the same 12, and the two in doubt are Watson and Harris (no surprise there). So it seems like there thinking Faulkner can replace either one of those.

England on the other hand seem to be all over the place, some saying Prior to come back others are saying Bairstow to keep his spot and the quicks could switch around Rankin and friends to come in.:d

The only guaranteed thing with England at the moment is that Panesar is out with a calf strain.

Watson really isn't an all-rounder any more though really. The second he has to rely on his bowling on justifying his spot in the side he is gone, he's too unreliable and susceptible to injury bowling long spells. He's either a batsman or he's out.

If Faulkner can improve on his batting game, Watson will be out anyway.

Pattinson has been great, came in from the third game and his numbers have been 3/36 and 4/24.
