There are rumours the 2024 World T20 will be held in the USA and Canada, would be good for the game IMO.

BUT

if cricket was going to concentrate on the USA, it would cut off the dead wood that is The West Indies

The downside is the loss of a team that plays test matches if the West Indies were to go on the wayside, because the Americans wont play test cricket, because they dont understand why people stand outside in the sun for 6 hours a day for 5 days to achieve a stalemate! Although the way Australia plays test matches Australians dont understand this concept in test cricket either

The photos of cricket being played in a baseball stadium are vomit inducing. Yes, I'm aware there aren't exactly an abundance of cricket ovals in the USA, but that is cringeworthy as fuck.

That cold change that came through at Bellerive yesterday was freezing!

I've been disappointed with Pattinson. Only bowling the high 130s to low 140s is not impressive for him. They could've selected Bollinger.

The other Aussies have bowled well on a good batting pitch.

The verdict about Shaun Marsh is his technical flaw of being too square on is still a problem. He looked brilliant on Thursday afternoon, but hopeless in the early overs yesterday.

That is the big problem with expanding Cricket to the USA. The Stadiums are all built for Football or Baseball it seems.

Plus, apart from Indian/English/Australian expats, the average American dismisses cricket as "baseball for faggots".

I think the idea behind how the review system for LBWs works is fine, but the way it is presented via the graphics does not reflect the reasoning very well so people are struggling to work out what is happening and thinking it is wrong.

Also, Americans tend to not have international sporting rivalries with anyone, that place has been through too much.

Cricket is played in small British colonies and outposts, the big countries that play cricket are on the subcontinent which were British subjects. Canada is a better bet :-k

Shame the game finished so early.

2 and a half days is a short game.

The crowd at the ground were cheering on the West Indies batters every time they made runs hoping for the Test to continue for longer.

Shame Brathwaite didn't get his 100.

The cold front disappeared as the game was finishing. The Hobart weather is now ideal for cricket and will be for the next few days. The Windies looked dejected in the field. They were very quiet. There was no chat amongst them and players weren't geeing up their own bowlers.

Sri Lanka did well on that green wicket, three late wickets ruined it a bit though, they were 4/259 and finished 7/264 on a rain shortened day.

My day's amusement was contributed to by these guys->

0 for 71 in the second innings, leading by 120 against New Zealand, they inexplicably fold for 133 all out
One of the funniest collapses I've ever seen because New Zealand hasnt got a scary bowling attack, and some of the shots/ methods of dismissal by the Sri Lankan team played to get out was just -> *

* No schadenfreude intended... **

** Well maybe there was

Saw highlights. So stupid. Most of them were caught on the boundary, so, as you say, they were all unnecessary and avoidable dismissals.
