332 the target for England - Aussie commentators writing off a run chase, but with an overly attacking field runs may come quickly and easily. They are a chance if there is no more interruptions to play due to the weather although they would need score quicker than they did in the first innings, a lot quicker. Scoring quicker has risks.

Review!
Harris brings one into Cook. Given out. Reviewed by Cook and it looks plum.

What was Cook doing reviewing that? LBW's don't get much more cut and dry

Perfect start, England 1-0 in the third over. They've also lost a review.
Trott joins Root in the middle.

Harris has started very well. Starc just needs to find his line

England look pretty happy to sit there and just block the ball around. Get some chin music going on.

As much as I detest Warner, am I the only one hoping that he catches Root?

Watson not Siddle replaces Starc. Siddle must be down to replace Harris.
Perhaps they should give Warner an over bowling at Root.

A bit of a 'nothing' move this. Watto is too slow to pose a massive threat and the field is too deep. Need to crowd the bat, get someone under Roots nose.

Fuck! Umpires call on hawkeye. Very frustrating, could have definitely been given by the onfield umpire.

How was that not out? Like...what the fuck is the point of DRS when everything says that's out?!

Should not lose a review for something like that on a LBW. It was not a player trying it on or being just stupid like Cook was doing or Watson has done.

Yes! Trott out, caught down the leg side. A bit of a gift, but we'll definitely take it.

I think the idea is that hawkeye has a margin of error, so when the ball only just clips the stumps there is a reasonable chance hawkeye has it slightly wrong and it was actually missing. So hawkeye cannot say with certainty that it is out or not out so what the umpire has said goes. Where as if the ball is shown as hitting the middle stump, like with Cook, haweye cannot be wrong to the extent that the ball had any chance of missing the stumps. However it is a bit of a mess. Hopefully hawkeye can be improved so that it can be more certain about those close LBWs

Aus have got a limited number of overs, they must be careful to not let things get away from them.

Edited by Davis_Patik: 5/8/2013 09:29:24 PM What's the point in using the Hawkeye for reviews if it's inaccurate then? Because that looked pretty straightforward LBW to me.

I'm liking Lyon to Root. He is hanging on the back foot - a big no no on a day 5 wicket that's spinning and bouncing.
