Lot of sniping going on from BoH powers that be. Kennett ripping on Melbourne again and Gary March (Richmond) taking aim at pretty much all the inter-state teams :-k

There probably isnt a sport anywhere else in the world that has such a big epicentre with such weak tremors externally.

There aren't any midfielders able to put bums on seats but in terms of lifting the team there are a few quality midfielders available, although I can't see many being tempted. Some potential quality FA midfielders: Dale Thomas, Heath Scotland, Scott Thompson, Nick Dal Santo, Lenny Hayes, Adam Cooney, Mark Lecras, Colin Sylvia. That being said I can't see many of those listed being tempted unless the money on offer was ridiculous, and even then Daisy Thomas already rejected an offer to triple his Collingwood wages after our premiership season, and a club icon like Hayes isn't going anywhere. But if they could get a Dal Santo or a Cooney/Thompson and someone like Sylvia it would help their short term development more than Buddy imo. Edited by fredsta: 16/6/2013 02:38:38 PM

GWS v Power generous estimate of 30 people per lower tier bay(upper tier appear to be virtually empty) equals 50 bays x 30 = attendance approx1,500 even if you allow margin of error and double attendance you get 3,000 max

It's going to be funny when the crowd is reported at ~6,000 RedKat wrote:If I've done my maths right, the average for only Victorian clubs is 40549.
And how does GWS have an average similar to what the Wanderers had? I call bullshit. They haven't had a home crowd over 8,000. Edited by afromanGT: 16/6/2013 03:50:48 PM

So Collingwood have 70,000+ members yet get 32,000 for a game v a Melbourne team in Melbourne, do they count arms and legs for these membership numbers?
Good to see the Crows dropping further and that North Melbourne did not throw away a 6 goal start this week.

Edited by Mister Football: 16/6/2013 10:51:25 PM you should probably double check that since you clearly fucked up the GWS figures.

Your NRL stats are wrong. Your S14 stats are wrong. What the christ is Non-AFL attendance average supposed to represent? Where do you get your info Mr Flogball.

Oh, that's because they were sitting around the back, out of sight of cameras and vision. You don't realise how big afl grounds are, back me up with this mr football. I assumed 6600 included the players, staff, cameramen and pie sellers. Then again, unless AFL is 500 players per team, they still wouldn't have got there.

Sacked after a bye week. That has to be the biggest snub OF ALL TIME in the AFL.
Melbourne just need to sack their board and start over. 3 coaches in 4 years is insane. You can't polish a turd.

The NRL stats should be Gm: 107 Tot: 1780081 Av: 16636 Rounds 1-13: Gm: 99 Tot: 1677300 Av: 16942 http://stats.rleague.com/rl/crowds/2013.html+ round 14 Tot: 102,781 from 8 games
In any case, it's AFL and daylight to the rest. While average NRL crowds are growing, the A-league quite easily catch up to them within the next decade.

For Hawks fans, a vid on Shem Tatupu, currently an international scholarship holder from NZ. 17 years old, already 196 cm, still growing, and can play: http://www.worldfootynews.com/article.php/20130616234114519
