That is some excellent warped logic right there.

Let's take last season, for example: Regular Season: Geelong def Collingwood by 36 Points Finals: Collingwood def Geelong by 41 points Regular Season: Hawthorn def Freo by 116 Points Finals: Freo def Hawthorn by 30 Points Indeed. Or maybe the " They lost to a side who didn't even make the finals, they must be really poor" Last season, again: Brisbane def Collingwood by 8 Points Brisbane def Carlton by 19 Points Brisbane def Bulldogs by 22 Points Indeed. I'm not saying the Bombers are going to be great or whatever, but to write them off after losing 1 game to a good side, who are extremely hard to beat at home, by a single kick, after leading for most of the match, is just ridiculous. Especially when you consider the domination they put in over the Dogs in Round 1.

You're making reference to outlier events, Funky. I could sit here for literally WEEKS listing every game where the team who won in the regular season defeated the same team in the finals. I just really can't be fucked. And you know that it's the far mroe likely outcome. The fact that Essendon haven't beaten Sydney in Sydney since 2002 probably had something to do with it as well, they havne't been ten the Swans at all in their last 15 attempts or something.
Look at their domination of the dogs, where the dogs were missing several key players. I wouldn't be holding that up as a shining example either.

West Coast beat the swans in the 2005 Qualifying Final, but the swans beat West Coast in the Grand Final. The swans beat West Coast in the 2006 Qualifying Final, but West Coke beat the swans in the Grand Final.

As for their Head to Head: (Since 2000) Essendon - 8 Wins Sydney - 8 Wins Essendon last beat Sydney in 2009. Facts...Who needs em...

And yeah, they've won one game in Sydney in 9 years. Not to mention they've only met 14 times since 2000, so how they can be sitting at 8-8 on Head to Head I'm not sure. "Facts, who needs em", was it?

"Facts, who needs em", was it? See Avy's comment above. They beat Sydney in Sydney in 09. And tbf, I brought up their H2H in reference to your comment that they hadn't beaten Sydney in their last 15 attempts. And no, they've played each other 16 times. If you can show me a list of fixtures that says otherwise, that'd be tops. What was it? Oh Yes...Facts, who needs em. Thanks for reminding me. Edited by Funky Munky: 9/4/2011 05:43:08 PM

Or is it just you can't answer to any of it? But to respond to the above, you seem to be missing a few things... Like the fact that they've beaten Sydney in Sydney 3 times in the past 9 years...Or 5 times in my above quota since 2000. I'm not going to repeat myself again, I'm sure you know what goes here.

Hey, I'm not arguing they've done fantastically in Sydney (Although that is a decent record considering how good the swans are at home), I'm just pointing out how incredibly wrong your statements have been.

Tuned into the Eagles game to see Josh Kennedy drop an easy mark about 45 metres straight out from goal with 3 minutes to go and we were down by a goal. FAIL. WTF is happening to him. Boy can't kick for peanuts this year, looking a lot worse than last year.

Quote:Footy fans angry with oversold general admission tickets at Etihad Stadium Rebekah Devlin From: Herald Sun April 11, 2011 ANGRY fans walked out of tonight's St Kilda versus Essendon game, claiming Etihad Stadium oversold general admission tickets. Supporters were forced to watch the match in four or five-person deep standing areas or on televisions around the ground. Disgruntled supporters argued with security staff as they searched in vain for seats and were moved on from no standing areas - many leaving in disgust at halftime. Stacey Lonergan and Stephanie Nation walked out at the main break, after spending almost an hour in a fruitless search for seats in amid the 47,762-strong crowd and ended up watching the match on the big screen outside the stadium. "It was a waste of money,'' Ms Lonergan said. "We walked around about four times, there was no where to sit,'' Ms Nation said. The pair complained at the ticket office and were told to ask fellow fans if they could stand in front of them, so they could see, or watch the game on the big screen outside. Paul Matthews brought his son Cody and nephew Will Clifton to the game, but also left at halftime. "We couldn't get a seat,'' Mr Matthews said. Some fans were told when they purchased tickets at the ground that it was standing room only, but many questioned exactly how much standing room was on offer, as areas were overcrowded and fans simply could not see the action on-field. Etihad Stadium admitted there were `issues' with seating at the match, but blamed it on 9000 member no-shows. "We're aware that there were issues,'' Etihad Stadium communications manager Bill Lane said. "The no shows make it frustrating for people who come inside the stadium and can't get a seat,'' he said. He said 2500 standing room tickets were sold and stadium management ``offered as much customer service support as we could give them’’, making announcements of spare seats and encouraging patrons to 'move up' to create multiple free seats. He said fans did not want to split up their groups to take up single seats. Mr Lane said they had sold bigger standing room allocations in the past, and that there was sufficient room for fans to see the game unimpeded. However he admitted the stadium would review why the game was not a fully-ticketed event "We will have a look at that, all Essendon home games are ticketed games, that's something that in liaison with the AFL that we look at, it is feasible that today's game should have been a fully-ticketed game," he said. "We did have a fairly substantial walk up, about 6000 people who bought tickets at the stadium, we encourage people to arrive early and we observed the walk up was quite late.'' http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/footy-fans-angry-with-oversold-general-admission-tickets-at-etihad-stadium/story-e6frf9jf-1226036883015

So it's the fans fault then is it? ](*,)
