This is the same girl? Wow, what a fucking slut
Not looking forward to next season. Eagles to look ok early, only to fail spectacularly. Don't think we'll go back-to-back, but I'm thinking 14th or 13th at best. Natinui is the most overrated player. Exciting and athletic, but very, very raw. And yet every time he touches the ball, the commentators start jizzing over him.

Quote:Saints, police in nude photo probe Al Paton From: Herald Sun December 20, 2010 2:29PM UPDATE 5.29pm: THE girl who has posted explicit photos of St Kilda players on Facebook says in her profile that she loves to cause trouble. The Saints are in damage control and AFL players have expressed outrage after two lewd photos were posted on a Facebook page today. The first photo was of two players, one nude and the other in his underwear, and the second photo was an explicit image of a third player. The girl who owns the Facebook page where the photos have been posted says in her profile information: "I like to f--- s--- up, nothing's normal in my life, and that's how I like it! ...I cause trouble; BEWARE." Earlier this afternoon the Saints released a statement saying they were in talks with Victoria Police and the club's lawyers after the first photo appeared on Facebook. The photo was removed after the statement was released, but it has been replaced by a semi-naked image of another St Kilda player. The photos were posted by the same girl who made a complaint against two St Kilda players not featured in the photos earlier this year. The teenager claimed she fell pregnant after having sex with players she first met during a school visit. An AFL investigation into the schoolgirl sex claims found the AFL players had not acted inappropriately and no police charges were laid. The photos are branded with the words: "Merry Christmas courtesy of the St Kilda schoolgirl." It is not clear who took the photo or under what circumstances. The girl who posted the photos has allegedly tried to sell the images to several media outlets. "St Kilda Football Club has been made aware of an image of two of its players, which has been posted on the internet," the Saints said in a statement. "The club can confirm that the image was not distributed with the players’ consent. "The club can also confirm that the photo was not taken by the person responsible for posting it online and believes that it was obtained illegally. "As the matter is subject to discussions between St Kilda Football Club, Victoria Police and its legal representatives, the club is not in a position to make any further comment at this stage." The AFL Players Association said footballers were entitled to the same privacy as other members of the community. "Players are outraged at the gross invasion of privacy committed today. They are sick and tired of being seen as ‘fair game’ by some in the community," the statement said. "Just like any other person, AFL players have a right to have their privacy protected. "This latest incident adds further weight to calls for stronger legal protection for high-profile people who are subjected to these kinds of seemingly malicious actions. "Publicising this activity can encourage further gross breaches of privacy, creating a vicious cycle where players’ reputations are unfairly damaged." Police said they had been advised that the posting of the photo was a civil matter. "We are aware of the activity in regards to Facebook,’’ a spokesman said. "We are advised by the courts that this is civil matter between the parties involved.’’ - with Anthony Dowsley http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/saints-police-in-photo-probe/story-e6frf9jf-1225973940526

Being a mad footy fan, I did my own of what I though AFL teams would want for Christmas and sent it in to them.....Apologies to the fans of teams I missed out on - hope you can add to my list! I think they would want.... Collingwood would want more of the same, Essendon and West Coast to have some sort of resemblence to a midfield, Richmond want a second goal kicker, Gold Coast need extra sunscreen & tourist guides for the Gold Coast to give to their insterstate recruits, Geelong some leaking boat repairer and a voodoo doll for Thompson & Ablett wouldnt go astry, Bulldogs want to win a prelim final, Saint Kilda need luck in a Grand Final and not to have the police visit next season, Fremantle for a finals win in Melbourne & not to have injuries to Pavlich or Sandilands, my beloved Brisbane Lions we want no Fevola headlines plus an extra defender & a crumbing forward, North Melboune would rather have cash then presents and last but not least Melbourne would like improvement from their kids and better luck & health for Jimmy Stynes (AFL wise I have to admit thats all I want this Christmas!) What we will get in 2011 is anyones guess - Bring it on I say!

Fuck Yeah, let's kick out our second leading goalscorer, that'll help. Of course Fevola is an extremely talented, and therefore near legendary player, but his inconsistency and failure to live up to what he really can is costly. As Scouse said, he can perform freakish moves and has some bloody legendary games, but he misses from close, and sometimes he just has plain stinkers. Mix this with the fact that he is a wanker off the park, and gets into all sorts of trouble, wasn't he in a gambling charade not long ago? He brings bad news, not really what Brisbane need But hey, i'm not exactly an AFL expert, just what I think

I know you love Fevola, for reasons I will never understand, but for all the freak goals he scores from crazy positions he misses three times as many set shots and simple marks. He's the Paulo Di Canio of the AFL.

tbph I worry about Hird being coach of the Bombers, but at the same time i'm excited.
On one hand, Hird is a favourite son, and Bombers fans alike love seeing him back at the club, he may have a good insight of how we play as coach, and maybe could be successful...
But on the other hand, legend status as a player does not corrolate to the same status as coach. All us Bomber fans are glad to see him back, and genuinely excited, but i'm a bit skeptical. Just have a look at Michael Voss for a current example...
Funky, what's your opinion on the matter? You seem to be the AFL expert on this forum

Still don't why u guys got xavier Clarke funky! He clogs up ur list bad! I'm still kinda annoyed that Bach left bombers but after what that fuck head knights did ! I can't blame him ! Also good that we redrafted Negale and Tyson slattery . Negate should become another Lucas and work off gumby! Whilst Tyson can become fletch's replacement ! Still would like to see Darcy danniher back there

I'm already predicting a wooden spoon for us. It's gonna be one looooong season. As much as I loved them, Getting rid of Brennan and Sherman were good moves. Rischa hurts, but that's ok. The kids we drafted are all those style of players, hard running through the mid style players. We're a fully fit Browny and Fev away from the top 8, that's all.

Hopefully we pick up where we left off, we lost some older players but they were by no means crucial. The list is young and now has the experience of a premiership behind them and hopefully they work hard to add another one to the list. I think the only area you could fault the team on is the lack of a regular goal scorer but imo that has become a weapon for us, with so many dangerous small forwards running around and Cloke's aerial ability it really is hard to shut Collingwood out. Cloke needs to turn his aerial ability into more goals but. I think with the list we have currently we can form a premiership dynasty just as long as the $$$$ at GWS does not tempt players like Swan and Pendlebury away from the Pies

The Roar are playing in the A-League though, where a team can bounce back fairly quickly after struggling one year. The AFL is different. If your list gets fucked around, it's not just one year of struggle - it's at least a few.

Quote:Power in the red - club predicts turnaround in new year Andrew Capel From: The Advertiser December 17, 2010 PORT Adelaide Football Club has vowed the worst is behind it after yesterday announcing its third consecutive seven-figure operating deficit. mThe financially-stricken Power is in the red again after losing a massive $1.74 million in 2010 following $1.4 million and $2.9 million deficits in 2008 and 2009 respectively. That's an extraordinary $6 million lost in three years. But Port, which last month controversially reunited with SANFL club Port Magpies, says it is well on the way to turning its disappointing results around, forecasting "substantial improvement" in 2011. This follows the merger of the two Ports, a multi-million dollar contribution from SA businessman Gordon Pickard, and the early success of the club's Business Ambassadors Group, which will bring in at least $1.8 million over the next three years. "We want to return to consistent profitability and that's what we are working towards in conjunction with our key stakeholders, the SANFL and AFL," said Power president Brett Duncanson, noting 2010 was "a tough year on and off the field for the club". "As with many clubs, ours is a revenue challenge, while of course keeping a close eye on costs. Importantly, we now have short, medium and long-term revenue strategies which are starting to bear fruit. "We will continue to work hard with those key stakeholders to deliver substantial improvement in 2011 and beyond. In the short term we have still faced financial challenges and required reinvestment from our parent bodies, which we thank them for." While Port's failure to make the finals for the third consecutive year and the mid-season departure of premiership coach Mark Williams hurt, Duncanson said the timing of the receipt of key reinvestment grants also worked against it. "This year we would have reported a modest surplus of $310,000 had we received all the reinvestment grants committed to us during 2010," he said. "However due to a timing issue, $2.05 million of a $4 million reinvestment committed by the SANFL in mid-2010 will now not be recorded as income by us until 2011." The Power generated $5 million more in non-grant revenue than it did four years ago and boasted healthy increases in corporate partner revenues (nine per cent) and corporate partner numbers (16 per cent). But chief executive Mark Haysman said it was aware it still faced enormous challenges. "We have set an ambitious membership target of 35,000 members following the reunification up from 31,000 and are working hard to make sure we reach that," he said. "The early signs are promising but the hard work is yet to come. We will also work hard together with the SANFL and AFL to increase our attendances." Port turned over $31.9 million in 2010 and spent $15.3 million on its football department. The club has net assets of $8.3 million, which does not include the Prince of Wales Hotel, which it will now operate after the merger of Port's AFL and SANFL clubs. It also has debts of $3.6 million. The Power's heavy loss follows that of hometown rival Adelaide, which lost $882,130 this year its first ever trading deficit. While the SA clubs struggle, Victorian powerhouses Collingwood, Carlton and Hawthorn recorded profits of between $2.2 and $5.4 million. http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/sport/power-in-the-red-club-predicts-turnaround-in-new-year/story-e6frecjc-1225972455422

As for us, I think we've recruited well, I think we're a smokey for lower top 8. Jono Brown to have his first full season in ages too. Dont write us off. Essendon have some great talent coming in and could be a smokey for top 8 this year. Haha yeah, I'm just being a dick. Wait until we play eachother:p. But I'd rate us two at around the same level. Decent young list, young coach with some experience heads behind him. When we play Brisbane at the 'Gabba pencil in a Lions win. Guarantee it.
