Hodges does a great job at getting under his opponents skin, he knows where the line is and he doesn't cross it. Meanwhile a player has been suspended for squeezing an opponents testicles yet no one in here bats an eyelid. Who is the real grub again?

Cya Benny. Twat.
If I were Raelene Castle I'd tell Barba to get fucked and if he wants to go back to Queensland so badly you can do it at the end of 2014 when your contract ends. Until then enjoy reserve grade.

If you look at how the club stood right by him during his darkest days during his drug and alcohol rehab, supporting him every inch of the way, and then he turns around and bascially tells the club the fuck off, yeah I can understand the supporters - of both Barba and the Bulldogs being majorly pissed off.

I wouldn't call putting your family first as being selfish. This has been an ongoing issue for several months now, its hardly shocking. Somethings are bigger than football.

In all seriousness though, the club should only release him once they have a replacement lined up.

Must say I never understood the hype. Quote:Why is Parramatta Eels coach Ricky Stuart untouchable? AS Ricky Stuart returns to his Suncorp Stadium graveyard Friday night with one hand on the NRL wooden spoon it is hard to believe the Parramatta coach is not a dead man walking. This is despite failing to find any improvement in a Parramatta side almost certain to become the first club since South Sydney in 2003-2004 to claim back-to-back wooden spoon. In fact, if not for last week’s 26-22 win over the equally inept Wests Tigers, Stuart would have created unwanted rugby league history by becoming the first coach ever to lose 11 consecutive matches at two different clubs. Talk about spreading the Midas touch. Former coach Stephen Kearney copped the blame of Parramatta’s woes in 2012 but as we have seen this year - with five 30-plus floggings - the Eels are no better off with Stuart at the helm and are still two wins shy of the six victories they produced last year and in 2011. His overall NRL record is now 120 wins, 120 losses and 1 draw from 241 games. But since 2009 Stuart-coached football teams have won just 14 of their past 61 games. To stop the slide and buy time from a dysfunctional board, Stuart plans to sack half the roster and start again. But his biggest name signing next year is Bronco Corey Norman, who is now struggling in Queensland Cup, while the likes of Gareth Hock, Josh Papalii and Israel Folau all agreed to joint the Eels but subsequently changed their minds. Two years ago he was labelled NSW’s messiah, but he never delivered a trophy and returned back to the NRL where his coaching record now stands at just one finals appearance in his last seven seasons. In four years at Cronulla, Stuart got the Sharks to the finals just once, flogged by Melbourne in the 2008 preliminary final. A decade ago Stuart was considered a coaching genius. He took the Sydney Roosters to the premiership in his debut season after inheriting a star-studded team that had made six successive finals and were runners-up under Graham Murray two years earlier. He won a 2005 Origin series with NSW but it all fell apart when sacked as Kangaroos Test coach for presiding over Australia’s shock 2008 World Cup final loss here at Lang Park. It was the first time since 1972 Australia had not won the World Cup, but it was his verbal abuse of referee Ashley Klein that made his job untenable. It proved what Queensland fans have long known, that Stuart is the biggest whinger in the game. That reputation only grew with an expletive-laden spray of referees on the Gold Coast in round six and after a repeat outburst in round 15 his coaching career fines total almost $100,000. The game’s deepest thinker might have deep pockets but success has been shallow pickings in Queensland, his last trip to Suncorp ending in tears thanks to Cooper Cronk’s miracle field goal in the 2012 Origin decider. It was the seventh straight loss Stuart had suffered coaching in Brisbane, his last victory coming as Test coach in 2007. He might have missed the Origin pain with NSW four weeks ago, but on Friday night the Broncos can hand Stuart his own eight straight Lang Park defeats. As a Roosters fan, he took us to 3 grand finals in a row and our only premiership in the last 38 years, though admittedly having one of the best 5/8s of all time helped a lot. I think he did a decent job at the sharks to turn them around, only for injuries to take them back down the ladder, as well as rebuilding the NSW team to be very competitive despite having players of less quality. Parramatta have to give him at least another season, anything less would be idiotic

He inherited a very good team at the Roosters. But since 2005 his record has been very very average. No actually it's been shocking. Should be given another season at Parra (In which they will improve, they can't get worse) but he's no messiah.

Yep those Bulldogs fans are a classy bunch. fans are split into two groups. Ones who put all the blame on Barba and couldn't care less if he ever pulls on a Digs jersey again, and infact a lot hope he doesn't and the other group who will blame everyone else but Barba  One thing's for sure, probably not a bad thing if he doesn't play another home game this season  Just a sidenote, I do wonder if Ben has stopped to think why his ex-missus wants to move back to QLD. I dare say the reason why has a lot to do with him. Edited by sydneycroatia58: 16/8/2013 10:07:15 AM

I'm certain we could offer some fair compensation to the dogs, young Lachlan Maranta is on the up a real kid on the rise. We should throw in state of origin star Peter Wallace as well.

Good to get the win tonight.
Outstanding match by Hoffman. =d>
Still some big problems but:
I think we're up there with the Roosters, Rabbits and Dogs in terms of forward packs but its how we use it that's what annoys me.
His rotation is woeful. We're playing Thaiday, Gillet, Glen and Parker for the full 80. While he tries to play Hannant and McGuire for close to sixty. The guys are just stuffed out there and he doesn't do anything about it.
Tasi only played 11 minutes. Jarrod Wallace must of played about 8 minutes. While he brings on Peter Wallace for no reason, it's a waste of a sub. He did give Lui an extended run but he's hopeless.
Really needs to look at how the Roosters use their forwards.
We also have to do more with the ball. This one out stuff is rubbish. We make the metres fairly easily but its just so unimaginative and we don't trouble other teams. We should be doing something similar to what the Dogs did last season.
Very frustrating.

What should happen is that for the first 2 years of his contract with wherever he goes he earns the same amount that he would have if he stayed with us. See how keen he is to move then. Something has to change though with all these players looking for releases, it's fucking ridiculous. They have to seriously look at a transfer fee system imo. Bill Harrigan made a very good point about on this whole Barba situation. What happens if in a year or two his ex-partner decides to move away from Brisbane. Will he then want to leave the Broncos early?

Anyway the Broncos are set to pay some compensation to the Bulldogs for Barba.

I expect him to either play on the wing or at center. So something like this. 1. Barba 2. Copley 3. Reed 4. Hoffman 5. Kahu 6. Milford 7. Hunt. A shame about Yow Yeh. :(
