Really hope can get the win tonight. Sydney V Manly is the grand final we deserve in terms of quality. Would be impossible to live up to the standard of 2 weeks ago, but would be some bloody tough footy. I do realize that the Knights are probably the fairy tale that all neutrals want to win

Clearly Team NZ's halftime talk worked.

As if this couldn't get better, Souths fans have been told they can't sell their GF tickets back to the NRL since the buyback period has already ended

Rupert Murdoch didn't like not having the rights to the league so made another, signed up half the clubs and created several more to create a rival league. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_League_war

I daresay it would kill the Mariners. They've been the only competitive national league team on the coast for ages now, and I can't help but think the moment they get a bit of competition that Coast families won't be able to afford (or keep enthused for) sport all year round.
If the Sharks relocate, seems the perfect time IMO to start a Wollongong HAL team, try and steal a few supporters from the Shire (what does it take, an hour to get to Wgong from Sutherland?) How would a Central Coast NRL team threaten the Mariners? Different code played at different times of the year.

So there was a report on FSN about the significant decline in finals attendance. Really poor administration of rugby league in general. I don't buy the whole cultural argument. I blame piss poor management and I blame my personal no show on how Gallop took care of Melbourne in such a disproportional way compared to the dicipline of other clubs. Cronulla also seem to be dying. Franchise model doesn't work also.

The Sydney market is too crowded anyway. Perth could be a good shout. Have to say this years final series is one of the best I've seen in a very long time. The Knights have some really good outside backs. (wish we could pinch a couple) QCUP GF this weekend, Easts V Mackay. Don't know why they're playing it at Ipswich FFS. Perth had the Western Reds. It's been done.

Pissed of about the game being at Ipswich. Won't be able to get back from there before work so I'll miss it, really should be at Suncorp

No thanks would prefer a new team up here, not those cunts.
FFS we just let go of Tasi, bring him in mid-season and barely play him. ](*,)
