Electric is the way of the future, no reason why motorsport would be any different.
F1 has already had KERS, i reckon they'll move to hybrids soon and then full electric in time.

Kidding themselves. half the reason F1 is so boring atm is because the engines are so quiet

Ha like that's even obvious on the TV. The sound of the cars is definitely not what it used to be but it's the lack of competitive racing that's the problem.

You have to go back 20 years or more to find F1 seasons that weren't dominated by 1 or 2 teams. Has F1 been in trouble for all that time? Each team has had it's turn. Williams with Mansell and the active suspension car, McLaren with Senna and Prost, Ferrari with Schumacher, Red Bull with Vettel and now Mercedes. It's not a spec series like NASCAR or V8Supercars.
The only people who don't think F1 is boring are the fans of the team that happens to be dominating at the time. Everyone else complains, till the circle turns and their team is back on top.
