The appeal last night went for close to 5 hours. We heard evidence from a number of people, however, the testimony on which the FFV initially based their punishment, the linesmen, provided two conflicting stories (one linesman was present at the hearing, the other was on the phone). It was an absolute farce.

Anyway, good news is that "as a gesture of goodwill" our next game against Oakleigh Cannons will be open to the public! We have been given seven days for our solicitor to submit a final brief with witness testimony etc to the tribunal, and then they will make a decision on the rest of the sanctions within a week of submitting the paperwork.

Regardless of them having evidence or not, Dandenong will still be found guilty. It doesn't serve the interests of the FFV and it's bank balance to find Dandenong not guilty.

I went before an FFV tribunal with statutory declarations, police statements, etc. and was still found guilty on the heresay of 1 person.

The FFV are not about to make an about turn, that would make them and officials involved look bad, and that's not going to happen.
