Rumour has it the B league will happening very soon
Latest rumour has it Olympic Marconi and few other teams have been approached
What are everyones thoughts
Promotion , Relegation and would it succeed
Good or bad for the A league
Would these teams in the B league be able to have a budget of say 500k

It's vital to have this B-League, without it the A-League (down the ladder) will be just plain boring at the end of the year. With the addition of a B-League clubs will have to try even harder not to get the wooden spoon to avoid the drop.
Would love to see some kind of credible link though, there's been lots of rumours about this B-league thing though none has proven serious.

The rumour is strong every fucking 3-4 weeks this comes up. If it happens and it's successful then great but really at the moment it's all just the same bullshit we've heard over and over again. Until someone comes out with some 100% hard proof that this is actually being discussed then bullshit is all this will be.

Reminds me of the "US to bomb Iran within days" threads on Whirlpool. The last thread I found was from 2003

I call fakes since there is no way in hell the FFA would be stupid enough to call it the "B-league".... oh wait.

Two more youth league players off to England (Edwards') Semi-pro B league based on former NSL clubs could fill the gap. Bridge the New Football / Old soccer divide. Promotion / relegation could be left for 5 years or so down the track. Wollongong Wolves, NQ Fury, Canberra, Tassie, South Melb, Knights, Marconi, Olympic. would be enough to get it started.

Oh and when I was at APIA Leichhardt Tigers in the NSW Premier League in 2009, they had changed their name to 'Sydney Tigers.' This was in order to be looked at for the 'B League' that was being created in the next year or two, and also to remove their ethnic background (Italians) and start over. Some were up in arms, but they name was changed. Funnily enough though, in 2010, once I had left, they had changed the name back to APIA Leichhardt Tigers. So much for the B League/APIA's involvement...

why cant this topic just die? the FFA doesnt want to expand at the moment it just wants to consolidate its position becasue it is bleeding money and almost broke.
If you think that this is fianacially viable at the moment then you are kidding yourselves.

So your happy with our youth leaving without playing A league
How weak is the A league getting wen they cant have there own junions and reply of a few players from various state leagues and buying lots of overseas rejects every year 1 in 5 are duds or 35 plus as long as we call the A league the pensioner league
Creation of the b League is neccesary fcuk this a league is gettting shitter and shiter every year

Creation of the b League is neccesary fcuk this a league is gettting shitter and shiter every year You're a fucking stooge. How will the A-League standard get better with a B-League anyway. In recent years the standard of the league has tripled, and there have been a lot of very talented young juniors coming through the A-League, I can think of 10 off the top of my head. The standard of imports has got much better as well, and there haven't been many over 35's come into the league over the past few seasons. The Youth League is perfect for younger players who can't get a game, it's already there, make use of it, don't break the bank to risk forming a B-League which will be sure to fail.
