To be honest, i think its good if petratos gets the RW position, ivan should be pushing his way into the socceroos at RB.

And good to see Pat Theodore on the team sheet, went to school with him. And get this, he played in the 2nds team this yr at school. Didn't get on with the coach who had a point to prove. Fucking ridiculous. I couldn't believe it.

good to see that Miller is getting on the scoresheets in pre season, hopefully he will be a bit more of a threat infront of goals this season.

Hard to judge as the strikers played with little heart or shape but when you win 11-0 you're obviously doing something right. The roar certainly were ruthless. Their pressing game was first class and completely overwhelmed the strikers. Had their most productive spells of the game in the last 15 minutes of each half so they are looking fit. Dimi is looking the goods but will reserve judgment till he plays against a-league opposition. The Broich, Beresha and Miller combo looks frightening and they all look super fit. Bratts has matured into a very reliable ball-distributor and winner. Franjic and North still on hols after their east asian cup exploits. Donachie had the night off while Ferrero looked solid next to Smith at the back. The only slight disappointment was the form of Julius Doe- had a chance tonight playing in the hole but was unsure of his touches and wasted a lot of possession. He looks a bit behind the others and will struggle for game time. Big sign at the game read "Bring Matty Back". Amen to that!!!!

Any news on the Membership count front guys? I saw on the FB page you guys reached the 3k mark about a month ago. And ofcourse your club is giving out $1k to every thousandth member signed. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151726422253536&set=a.445213113535.218357.78390538535&type=1&theater Announced 13 July https://twitter.com/brisbaneroar/status/359453671664275456 - Same announcement on Twitter but delayed by about a week, 22nd July. You guys must be closing in on 4k now? You have an admirably AMBITIOUS 10k goal, so hopefully your club is tracking well atleast towards the 7-8k mark? Which would in itself be a new club record.

Haven't heard anything lately. The club normally spaces out this info to get maximum exposure. So it is a little strange that we haven't heard anything. But regardless of this I don't think the club has ever been run so well off the field. Really like what the Bakries are doing.

I wonder if the Roar having a stall, player appearances at the recent 'Ekka' show in Brisbane may've helped 'the cause'? https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151782139228536&set=a.445213113535.218357.78390538535&type=1&theaterYou sure fn hope that the club had it organised so the players or staffers with them, could be signing up people? An event like that equals the PERFECT opportunity to recruit new members?! They could sign dozens of new members just there?! edit: It's JUST an Hyundai marquee?! Damn, can't they just recruit some members on-the-side? They would already have their Roar gear/uniform on?! http://www.footballaustralia.com.au/brisbaneroar/news-display/Roar-players-at-the-Ekka/72280Heck why DON'T A-League clubs, like Roar, HAVE their own 'stalls' at these events, just specifically to sign up new members?! How much could it cost, surely not THAT much (Though might have to organise/book well in advance?)? And even worth 'the return'? And SURELY with all these pre-season games they are playing, infront of crowds of a few thousand in some cases, they have a stall/s or people to sign up new members there?!! BTW Henrique has been here, in Australia, let alone with Brisbane, since early 2009. By early next year he will have been here for 5 straight years?
He could easily apply for dual-Australian Citizenship and there for one less VISA player on your books, one more VISA spot free?
Broich too even, he will have been here 4 straight years, by middle of next year, so he might be eligible to apply for dual citizenship too, by time of the 2014/15 season?
It's also good for any future ACL participation, with their '3+1' rule limiting the choice of foreigners - but they will be considered a 'local' or Aussie players even in the AFC/ACL's books!

Cheers. Will Mulvey definitely be starting Franjic at RW this season? What's he been playing pre-season?
How does the line-up look without McKay?
I need what MULVEY is MOST LIKELY to start with, not what fans may want.

I need what MULVEY is MOST LIKELY to start with, not what fans may want. Well that would be my guess as well. Franjic hasn't played a pre-season match as he's been away with the Roos. Well it was looking like Lamba was going to be in the starting lineup with out McKay but he's out for the season now, so I'm not really sure. Why do you need this info?

I need what MULVEY is MOST LIKELY to start with, not what fans may want. I'd say everything is locked in without injuries, except McKay. I feel he will be at the roar, but if he isn't, I'd expect Ferreira to partner Brattan.

Anyone heard anything or know if Henrique has applied for dual citizenship?
Same too with Broich, he could be eligible as soon as next year?
As I said before, this could be, incidentally, especially helpful for the ACL where the '3+1' rule is in place.

I remember reading that the club were hoping that Ricky's citizenship would be sorted by August or else they have to wait til January? Cutting it close in terms of being able to negotiate for another visa player.

Cutting it close in terms of being able to negotiate for another visa player. Do Dong-Hyun was released 3 or 4 weeks ago, so I'd say they've been negotiating with overseas players. Mulvey confirmed we were looking overseas earlier this week and there's been rumours of an overseas playmaker signing for us for a few weeks. And cbowden9000 since we helped you with the starting line up, can you give us a sneak peek at the new kits? Edited by BRFC_92: 11/8/2013 11:59:25 AM

The Bakries have announced latest moves to develop their academy in indonesia with Roar's input. I understate alot I think, but it sounds quite promising for Roar. It's nice to see that the Bakries aren't foolhardy like some Billionaire owners and are clearly in it for the longer term. This latest iniative reflects a more 'targeted investment' reflecting a wise approach.
The only area, viewing from afar, where they could 'invest' a little more, or improve, is presently with the club's memberships. A few fans still complain of the relative cost of the Roar's memberships compared to other A-League clubs (They are on Roar's Official FB page anyway!) and I suspect that doesn't help Roar's cause, with their membership drive. Especially when you see how great the likes of Jets and SFC are doing. Jets and their Tinkler-subsidised packs aside, SFC's member packs are ALSO relatively cheaper.
Cost DOES factor in and it's been a complain from 'potential' or 'former' Roar members for a long period of time now.
I suggest 'investment' in terms of a slightly greater degree of subsidisation - Not quite to the degree of Tinkler at Jets, but something to improve it's 'cost competitiveness' to cut-through in their market. Especially when some fans are saying 'The Broncos packs are cheaper!'
