you don't think Mulvey would let Brattan go this transfer window? if he did it would be a train-wreak for our title hopes. :(

doe was injured for a while I thought? But pretty crazy how little he's gotten since being with us.

Pretty sure kaz got told to come back in pre season as we wasn't anywhere near the fitness required to be signed this year.

It would depend on whether or not we sign Lustica. And I would hope they could negotiate a loan for the rest of the season if he was to be sold.

As much as I don't want Brattan yo leave, a move to England could lead to a World Cup spot, so I can understand him maybe wanting to go.

Personally I'd rather him go to the Eredivise or to a German club. If he keeps up this form he will get noticed by a lot more clubs

Any thoughts on the club , if Ian hollaway's scouts are still monitoring Milligan they would have no doubt made comparisons with brattan and based on form and age surely if they liked Milligan they'd fancy the younger cheaper brattan ... Millwall is my tip ,...

Don't forget that they were tracking Zadkovic a few months ago as well. Millwall isn't a bad tip, but I think he'd be better suited to a side like Derby. They're playing great football and getting rewards.

As delusional as some of you seeing what is going on.

First of all I'm not referring to high balls as in crosses or clearances as some have mentioned. I'm referring to "passing" as stated. You should watch the replay vs Nix last week. It's apparent passing the ball on the deck does not have the same emphasis or importance to Mulvey as the bouncing or high short passes is seemingly creeping in our play compared to the Ange era. It will only get worse if we can't get players who can't adequately control that which was the thrust of my point.

I much more prefer the improvised style we play now.........not so boring except for the attacks under Ange were first class. With Solo coming back and is good enough for selection I anticipate this may improve.

The Courier Mail says Solo will be in the squad today depending on international clearance. Would be fantastic to see him in the team again.

The Roar FB page has just said Solo's clearance came through this morning, so he goes into the squad today.

Lustica signed apparently.

This will make the current Roar squad probably the strongest, and with most depth in the club's history. Looks like the stability and cash from the Bakries ownership is yielding results. Big, strong squad. Both marquee spots filled.

Off the field it's great too. Over 16k crowd today. The match-day experience has improved ten-fold as well. We're well on our way to being one of the A-League's super powers.

You can add developing good young talent to that as well.

Not really. Salary cap covered by the league and two marquees who wouldn't be on traditional marquee wages. Bakries really haven't put too much money into the club at all (looking in from the outside that is).

Before the Bakries we had no marquees. But the stability created by the Bakries means the club no longer has to worry about the finances and balancing the books. We have focused on growing our brand and our club- not just trying to survive.

Aside from the obvious success on the field, off it we are flying too. Comparing the match day experience from 3 years ago. There are now fireworks, flame throwers, better facilities for The Den- which our club has embraced. Kids zones and family areas, sponsorship up. Signage, corporate boxes filling up. Crowds on the rise- a few years ago we'd have got 7-8k v the Mariners, even when we had our undefeated streak. Now we get 16k.

Proud of the philosophy of the club and the direction we are heading towards. We must never be content in where we are, we should be constantly raising our standards. Hopefully we will have a strong youth academy, a center of excellence similar to what the mariners will have.

Missed the game, how did Solo look on his return?

he came on near the end of the game pretty hard to judge.

Only played 5-10 minutes but looked solid, looked to get in behind CCM within a minute of coming on and won us a corner.
We'll definitely see more of him in the next few games.

Thought he looked quite sharp but is carrying a couple of kilos.

I liked the way he weaved between two defenders in a tight situation and still ran away with the ball. Too early to tell but he'll find it tough with Petratos is such good form and Henrique always making a difference when he comes on. He'll be a squad player at best IMO (unless we get plagued with injuries).

CCM are always a tough to break down. They don't really like to attack too much, but when they do, they caused us problems. Once again, possibly an issue with playing a high line that we so open at the back and concede chances and goals. Almost cost us right at the end.

In saying that, Petratos for me has been our standout. Im always confident when he has the ball. Keeps it well and moves around well too. At times yesterday we held on the ball too long and tried to run between too many players rather than pass and move.

I definitely think we still a bit lacking. First halves are generally slow from us and we need to come from behind. We should be killing teams of with our style. We need to up the pace from defence to attack transition. Other than that, not much else is going wrong.

Oh, except North. That guy needs to benched for Donachie.
