If we were going to release a foreign player, I'd want it to be Miller. Lustica is just as good IMO.

Unfortunately Miller is contracted for another year. The gaffer made sure he got a decent income and 2 years when he joined. Something Perth refused to do to keep him there.

Don't really need a RB, hingert, Bowles. and Donachie have that covered. CB is covered to I feel, Donachie is 3rd, plus Steff could play there and Brown into LB.

What we desperately need is another creative player. Someone to take the pressure off Broich and also maybe bang a couple in as well. That's what I'm hoping for.

I don't know how much money was freed by the Franjic departure,but would it be enough to entice an overseas Aussie home?
Is Ruka still at Mainz?

Ruka would destroy this league in our setup, pls make this happen.

any possibility of Devere returning? Probably don’t need a CB/CDM but I think you'd have to take him if he was available,

plus Kennedy is still looking for a club come October , if City opt out surely we would want to opt in?

Nothing Brisbane needs more in this system than a player who is more than capable of spurning more chances and lacks a bit of end product.

Brisbane don't need players like Ruka, he'd look good in a poor side like Perth, but I don't rate his finishing ability and crossing enough for him to justify a place here. You never know though.

Personally I'd prefer someone like Troisi or DeVere, though I doubt either of them would be available or fit in the cap, but you never know with Franjic gone.

i'd put ruka in dimi's position where his finishing wouldn't be as detrimental, remember this is only the a-league and ruka is easily above a-league talent. A few seasons in Europe could have only improved his technical ability and tactical prowess. Would also love DeVere back.

Devere would be a waste. Already have a quality youngster in Donachie as back up.

How does the foreigner rule work with ACL? If Broich and Henrique both become Aussies, do they still count as foreigners in the ACL?

North(32),Smith(31) and Stef(34) are ageing we will need to look at replacements soon, DeVere would be a very solid replacement

I think smith and north both have like 2 years remaining on their contracts, so I don't think devere will want to come back as a bench player for 2 years.

has anyone actually watched him play since he's left Brisbane? apart from injuries their have been many reasons he's not playing with his Korean team. we're not getting devere. think ffs.

It's supposed to have been finalised this off season. I think they'll release the news, if he does get citizenship, before a new signing. I'll ask the Roar on twitter.

I think the problem with players like Ruka is they never get extended play time to develop.The last time i saw him play for Australia he seemed to have improved technically a lot.Then he went back to bench sitting.
What would also be good is some extra height on the paddock.

It can't be a loan signing, with the new rules coming in this season there is no way we could afford anyone considered better then a squad player on loan.

I'm assuming Berisha and Franjics wages combined would easily be enough to move McKay back under the cap, but the 'not a marquee' part rules it out.

Yes he absolutely was a misfit at The Roar he had no grasp of the system at all. In a different system and environment he has done well but he never looked likely when he was with us.
