Hey,
What is general ticket availability on the door like at Suncorp. Might be in Brissy for the 8th November so I wouldnt mind checking the game out. I wont know if I will be in the area until the day before.
Cheers.

Cheers. That's the Melb City game so I'd imagine that a lot of people will turn up for with Villa being there. There will be tickets available but I'd get there early if you wanted to get in in time. If not, find a ticketek office and purchase one during the day. The Westfield shopping centre near me has a ticketek office at the concierge.

The turnout at the Roar game was lower than expected or hoped for a season opener. I'd be worried except for the fact it was on a Sunday and for some reason that is the worst timeslot with Saturday and Friday nights being much better.

I didn't feel the league had as good a start as it was threatening to. Next round should be a bumper though.

Not panic stations yet, but after 2 rounds its blatantly obvious that Donachie cant fill in the full back role to offer even a drop in the proverbial ocean that Franjic did. I've started thinking about possible solutions/best XI and thought I'd throw it out there... 3-4-3 Diamond (with fit squad). Theo North-Donachie-Smith Brattan Sarota - - - McKay Clut Petratos-Kurtishi-Broich Mulvey doesnt look like hes dropping Donachie for anything this year, so eliminates the lack of quality FBs we have with Sarota and McKay dropping in to make 5 at the back in defense (or Bratts to make a 4-3-3), Clut/Dimi/Broich can rotate and ball chase as they see fit. I honestly think our season will depend on Sarota getting fit and playing a big part and helping cover the deficiencies of Donks at RB. I get the sense that Kurt will score goals if given the service. I'd love to see Brady, Borello, and Clut get more involved this season. I think they are all better options that JCS. Never really rated Lustica but he had a good game against Perth, that ball to Henrique was delicious. Wouldnt be against us picking up Caira after he ditched the Nix as well, thought he looked great at LB early last season.

I was doing my best not to be too pessimistic a little further ups this page ^^ but my fears based on our recruitment and pre-season are coming to bear only 2 rounds in. Our defence is old and slow and we haven't recruited anywhere near as strongly as the other teams have.

yeah there is nothing we can really do about it this season. I think we'll just have to stick this one out, its VERY hard to back up after a successful season (a successful seasons really for us) we'll just have to rebuild and bring in a few over this season and hopefully results will change.

Not good enough going into the ACL imo. We should be demanding better as fans of the so-called biggest club I feel. Edited by Borstal_Breakout: 21/10/2014 07:07:21 PM

Its a bit hard to leave ricky out and its a bit early to trust clut into a key role. Or move dimi central Ricky on the wing. Would be very nice to see. My issue is that normally you want that DM to drop back cb role in defence. I'm not sure if that suited to brats. Edited by lolitsbigmic: 21/10/2014 07:52:31 PM

Brisbane's best midfield will be Bratts, lustica, mckay. Stats from perth game show bratts and lustica with 150 passes between them with lustica 86% accuracy and bratts 85%. They were let down by petratos contribution and Donachie's terrible defending. Clut's performance in youth league game saw him dragged in 70minute. Needs to dominate in youth before heralding him as a savour. Donachie given same status by keyboard warriors and coming unstuck.

Does anyone know how devere going? He had some injuries. Maybe an option to bring back.
I do question overseas sport scientists and physio. There is a reason why Australian are head hunted for their expertise.

I trust he will be ok Definitley agree with you. Hopefully Mulvery starts him. For this Friday I think we should go Theo Hingert - North - Smith - Stef Lustica - Brattan - Mckay Henrique - Petratos - Broich I think starting Dimi up front could go alright. He's definitely not a midfielder. I think chucking him up front could settle him. Plus he'll put in 110% against the smurfs. #Justanidea

In the paper that MM is selecting an unchanged 11 for tomorrow night.
Danger lies in Ibini attacking Steff and Judas/Gameiro teeing up Donks for his 3rd OG of the season. Due to Petkovic's suspension, however, we are likely to see either Jurman or Pedj in their XI. God I hope its Jurman.

Bojic is just bad, has an awful touch that can be easily exploited. Disappointed no change to the line up, in reality this is 3 losses in a row with the AU cup game, there need to be a defensive shake up.

Any idea why Mike hates Hingert so much? I honestly can't comprehend why he persists with Donachie, when he simply doesn't have the skillset to play there. It's maddening to watch.
Brosque is the main threat in this team. Plenty of athleticism in their strikers but they're not particularly intelligent. We shut down the brains of the offense and they'll crumble.

he shouldn't play Donachie simply because he'll be down on confidence and too scared of f'ing up.

He just seems to have a massive hard on for Donachie. Playing him out of position does nothing to help his development but.
