Got a question, cheers for anyone who can help.
Have a mate that's sorted out tickets for me tonight, only issue is I have to pick them up at the stadium. I was going to catch the bus to Suncorp, as I don't know my way around Brisbane and i'm familiar going that way...so how often do they check for match tickets when getting on the bus? Have caught it previously but can't remember if they checked for tickets when getting on. Don't mind paying a couple of bucks anyway if worse comes to worse.
Thanks lads!

Thanks lads! Fuk paying for the bus mate, if your wearing your colours it should be pretty obvious your going to the game, tho some drivers are nazi wankers and demand to see tickets etc.

Thanks lads! If it's a bus to Suncorp they never check so you'll be alright. If you have to catch another bus to get to the Suncorp bus then you might have to pay, maybe just have a piece of paper all folded up and wave it around

Brosque is the main threat in this team. Plenty of athleticism in their strikers but they're not particularly intelligent. We shut down the brains of the offense and they'll crumble.
It could be Magic Mike sees the need for more height to defend set pieces.Look at the game against SFC for example.Who is going to mark Janko?

I dont think donachie should be playing RB, but i feel he has been a scape goat to our defensive problems, more questions need to be put towards smith and north.

We never had a problem before. But let's face the quality in opposition teams is improving. So teams will look at weaknesses and exploit them more than ever before. So attention to detail is increasingly more important to get an edge. Keogh scored off a header last weekend and the week before Djite should have scored from a header, but hit the bar. What is interesting so far is that In general play Roar have only conceded one goal and even that had a lucky rebound to Djite. The rest have come from defensive mistakes. Hopefully everyone is switched on this weekend.

So who do we think Mulvey drops if we go to the 343 he mentioned in his Saturday interview with Marco? My bet is Stef.
Theo (Young) North-Donks-Smith Sarota (Lustica)-Lustica (Miller/Clut/Liftin)-Brattan-McKay Dimi-Kurtishi/Ricky/JCS/BB-Broich
Boys in brackets are injury subs til Sarota is fit... striker, who knows?

I don't see how playing with a back three is going to change anything .Roar will still have to deal with a high pressing defence and decide whether to pass backwards or sideways until they make a mistake. When Mulvey has worked out a strategy to get forward past the high press without high ,risk things will start to improve. Otherwise nothing will change except the postion of the deck chairs.

Otherwise nothing will change except the position of the deck chairs. We had 69% possession and could barely get to within 25m of their goal. if we are going to play it out under all circumstances then having 4 back there makes it less risky. However, the problem arises in that we have always relied on our wide full-backs to eventually outnumber the opposition when we attack, dragging defenders out of the centre once we have set up. Donachie and Steff (now) can't hurt the defence in that way so the defence is not pulled out of position once set. The time has come for Broich to play a more traditional number 10 role. This would provide a much more direct outlet for us down the centre and more potent attacking option on the break. He is always dangerous running at defenders on the edge of the box - much better for him to be doing it centrally. ---------------------- Acton--------------------- Hingert ---North ------- Smith ---------Steff --------------------Brattan --------------------- Sarota/Lustica/Miller-------------McKay -------------------Broich------------------------ ------Petratos------------Solorzano/Kurtishi

I didn't even realize until now Young came from 5th/6th division football in England and he wasn't even their first choice. What the hell is Mulvey thinking letting him be the first choice keeper? #-o #-o

Thats probably why the players are pissed at him for dropping acton, hes what 24? I wouldn't be surprised if young is like a relative now. He dosn't even look NPL level. Recruitment this year is shit house. I hope sarota gets better because he the only one that could make a difference.

Young's performance against Sydney was absolute shit. It should be benched this week.
Still don't understand why Mulvey won't play Hingert, if he has such a hard on for James just bench North and put him in the middle.
Wouldn't mind seeing Borello start this weekend.

I was trying so hard not to be too pessimistic after the few games I saw at Ballymore and the FFA cup games but this start has been disastrous. Poor recruiting, disharmony, weird selections, Ron Smith. If the boys don't turn it around against City then that's the last 5 years undone and we're back to crowds of 10K, Qlders back winners pure and simple.

If the boys don't turn it around against City then that's the last 5 years undone and we're back to crowds of 10K, Qlders back winners pure and simple. We have played poorly against pressing defences, because we have been one dimensional ,trying to play out from the back when we are out numbered by defenders Either we get more bodies into midfield and more bodies moving off the ball or we go long. When all your passing options from the back are covered it is crazy to not just boot the ball long or out of play. The goals against us are still almost exclusively from our mistakes.Fix this with a more pragmatic approach,(like Gombau has used this season) and we could be bossing things very quickly. There is not one team in the HAL that plays out from the back every week and all game.Even in the big leagues most teams mix up their play. The goal keeper has has been poor, making poor decisions.Kicking the ball to Lustica who was marked by the tallest player on the field was moronic. If you are going to kick long and a player is marked by a taller player ,don't kick it there.or kick it longer so a faster player can turn the defence around. This is not rocket science, why aren't the coaching staff planning all the options?Arnold and his staff clearly are. They watched the positioning of Young and instructed players to catch him out of position. The Roar coaching staff need to pull out their fingers and play to the opposition weaknesses. The Og Monster was covering Henrique a lot last game ,but we didn't take advantage of this .We tried a few diagonal high long balls to Henrique9one of the shortest players) .Go figure? There was no planning to draw Og in and flick the ball over a forward running Henrique. A lot of the time SFC had a defensive line on halfway, there were great opportunities for midfielders or attackers with their backs to the defence to draw in the defender, pass quickly backwards to a player to chip the ball forward to a forward running player. If only they had planned this. We have the players to play good Football,we need the Coaching staff to lift their game give them a plan that works.

The coaching staff have finally been found out to be at best, inept. Mulvey, Smith, Kearton etc. Playing Young what a disgrace and poor standard he is. Oh that's right, he played in England. I can now understand why Miller was contracted. What a f@cking waste of space at the expense of a born and bread locals. I've predicted these things all last season and will say here and now Kurtishi has and will be a flop too. The Roar system of overlapping wing backs is gone out the door so it's back to the future. Other than predictable substitutions no matter the circumstances, what is the back up plan Mickey?

I really hope Mulvey has a replacement already lined up for Miller.
My Ideal replacement would be
Asian Atleast 6 foot tall Quicker then your average player ( top 3 in the squad) Attacking midfielder
Simples :d

There was some Kagawa guy going for sale a while back. He wasn't six foot though so probably would have done terribly. In any case he got picked up by some struggling Bundesliga team ;)

I think it would be silly to sign someone who isnt Asian. May aswell use the +1 for ACL rather then have somone sit the comp out.
