Yea, just picked Perth on form to beat Adelaide, either way just need one of them to knock them off if we want a Home Grand Final. We just need to take care of Victory and WSW on our end.

There's that old adage that "good sides make their own luck" and I don't think Roar have been particularly lucky this season so a home GF just seems a stretch too far. Victory can be beaten as can Wanderers but I think May 1st in Adelsude is where the final will be.

I think a bit of a shake up is needed on Friday night and for the finals should we progress; the defence picks itself in the absence of DeVere so:
Oar, MacLaren, Borrello, Broich (playing "10" behind the front three) Mckay, Corona,
This assumes Petratos remains injured but even if not, I'd play this formation and leave him on the bench

I think we have been duped into thinking Petrat is high quality. He has a good game from time to time But he doesn't work his socks off.He doesn't break up attacks and make defensive turnovers and doesn't run the attack. He has to do one of those things to justify his spot. next season we need a stronger player there. Broich is too slow for defence and attack. We need another experienced striker. We need another right wing attacker.

The thing I hate about petrat is he takes too many touches on the ball, he takes to long to make a decision.
He disrupts the attack. We do a fluid 2 touch passing play out from the back it arrives at petrat feet he stops takes a couple of touches dribbles back in and passes backwards. Chance has been killed. He did it many times. So many times oar or hinget where making an overlapping run, they end up offside and have to come back with mv fb covering them and then he passes the ball to him.
Really do feel broich should be playing as a 10. With oar and borello on the wing. Jmac is better when he got someone to play off.

How are carona and mckay going to cover for broich if he plays in the 10 role. Brisbane play 4-3-3. Broich nor tommy oar have the legs to play in that position against melbourne. In the last two games melbourne have been overrun and outplayed by the roar. Their keeper saved them from another smashing on saturday. Your proposal might work on your Fifa game, but thats debatable as well. You post a lot of crap on here and facebook. Edited by vandyborg1: 11/4/2016 02:51:27 PM

Oh, and it turns out the link in some of the members emails wasn't directing correctly, but don't worry - that got fixed thanks to the folks with balls who raised the problem. Broich at "10" .... not exactly my idea, he's played there before, in fact we absolutely smashed victory a few years back with him playing in that position. As for all the other guff, lol, and what you've written is priceless :)

Broich at 10 makes sence to me, suits his slower legs and having three fast men in front of him will allow him to carve open defences. Edited by Waz: 11/4/2016 04:08:28 PM

Good job man, love the beats as well. If anything I would change the last two beats, the first two fit it perfect. Loved when the 50 cent beat kicked in for Henrquie

Looking forward to seeing the roar change their formation on your advice. Broich is a great player but where does he find another 4 km in his game to play in the midfield. You didn't finish primary school but you want to be a surgeon. I would dearly love to make the trip to call You a pinhead to your face. Suncorp would erupt in delight. But alas how do you get out of your pram to get to the concourse.

What does JA do with Tommy Oar on Friday? Often portrayed as not being a risk-taker he has generally stuck with the same starting XI unless injury has forced his hand; whenever he has made unforced, tactical team changes this season the results have often been negative so it’s a case of stick or twist for JA on Friday. Personally I thought Oar did well on Saturday but JA has copped a lot of flack on fan forums for the decision to drop Borrello so with Petratos declared fit does he revert back?

TB is 36 next season so he isn't going to command the left wing like his has in the past and a front three of Oar, J-Mac and Borrello looks potent for next season but make the change going into finals, i dunno??

I'm hoping we use one of the available visa slots to sign a new right winger (presumably to start in front of Borrello?) which does then leave a problem of an aging midfield in that formation, would it last a season? I'd always thought Clut would be a good 10 and therefore able to share the workload with Broich but it looks like he's on the way out and the Mail reported Roar were searching for a new DM to support then replace corona when he retires in a year.

Going into the finals, the last thing you want to do is experiment. You stick to what has got you this far. For better or worse. If the team hasn't been playing different formations,it's too late now.

I feels as though he doesn't care anymore, Melbourne is his place now. After he scored I just had my head in my hands and my mate who tagged along was laughing (as he doesn't give a shit about football). I did say that after he scored we'd go on to win, nek minit McKay scored and I just lose it and my friend couldn't believe it. It was a great game to bring someone to for their first time.

just checking in on which players are coming off contract at seasons end I think I know of Henrique, JCS, Lustica, clut and Bowls , please correct me if I'm wrong . Stef to retire (hinget and brown have re signed , bordello as well and I think north for another season. I think other clubs (jets in particular) would be lining up offers for Henrique and Lustica. I think they should be top priority for new contracts. JCS and Hervas can leave. Bowls needs to stay. we really need another quality LB to compete for Browns position (zullo?). I'd like to see a Visa Marquee brought in to replace Broich over the course of next season. A solid number 10. Maybe Brett Holman? I have always lover Formica, I remember catching a few Blackburn games with him before they got relegated, he was really young and pretty awesome. looked him up on transfer market , did the rounds in Europe on loan from Blackburn before ending up back at NOB in Argentina. he would be a lot like the CV of Bruno F from city. would probably kill it as a number 10 in the aleague. http://www.transfermarkt.com/mauro-formica/profil/spieler/55870

Congrats to you guys on beating us. Certainly deserved it for the season if not the game itself.
Happy for JA to recover after his Heart stint. Also looking forward to how your team might improve with a solid pre-season without the BS distractions of last year

Fish sounds like hes off to earn some money in Asia. Steff to retire. Bowles has re-signed. North is looking at signing an extension but his contract is being ratified/structured by PFA/FFA because he is signing as an Indigenous Mentor (something along those lines). Donachie is technically out of contract because of a clerical error but it sounds like the club are trying to sort it out. JCS will not be re-signed. Hervas is unlikely to be re-signed. The club are looking at getting rid of Polenz (ideally by mutual consent so his salary comes off the books/cap). I agree we need a left back. Brown has been useful but is unreliable and inconsistent. It sounds like the club are looking at bringing in a starting LB, depth at CDM, depth in attacking midfield and the wing, a striker to compete with Jamie, and potentially a young RB. We are also assuming Jamie and Dimi dont move O/S.
