This discussion, including both the FFA's & MVFC's legals lasted close to 4 hours. When i sent a text today to find out wtf was going on, the text i recieved was this "F@#king FFA throwing more spanners than a dodgy mechanic. We are jumping through hoops to get them to sign off. 4 hour teleconference this morning at club" 2nd text i received some hours later was "Press Conf was due at midday, however Di Petro lost it & shut down the whole club for any comment, to any media request. Bloke (Di Pietro) is a very angry man today, FFA continue to butt f@#k him, not a happy little spag" followed by an email... "Look, Harry to MVFC is 100% locked in by club, player & manager. FFA are being pricks & are doing eveything they can to jeopardise this move due to Sydney-centric sour grapes. I am still confident we will get him, but not before some ties with FFA cronies are broken. Some of the directors are over it & have expressed a desire to vacate their directorships at the end of the season coming. Some of these guys are multi millionaires & the football politics has well & truley got to them. They are disillusioned with this childish shit. Ego's are now at play & this deal could divide a previously stable club." I then received a phone call to say that Bernie had agreed to the deal in principle however, if this carried on, he may wait until the end of the European transfer season until they make a decision (not sure if this is Bernie being a brash cunt or not). Was also told by bouth sources they could no longer say anything to me, as a lot was in the balance & the MD did not want any speculation to the public from in-house conversations. This was a directive sent from him to certain members of staff via email.
Thats all i have guys. Club is on tender hooks about this deal. Seems like ill have to speculate & wait it out like everyone else now. Was fun while it lasted.http://www.melbournevictory.net/forum/showthread.php?59015-The-Harry-Kewell-quot-will-he-won-t-he-quot-thread/page444 grist for the mill So you then go and port it on a forum. A whole lot of bs.
Only fact is that HK agent has agreed terms with SFC and MVFC.

If SFC sign Harry they are the worst club in the A-league for stealing him from MV and because the FFA are secretly trying to get him to Sydney.
If [insert team from any other league in the world] sign Harry they are only able to because the FFA fucked up MV's chances and now Harry isn't interested anymore.
This rumour mill has all the angles covered doesn't it???
Not even the biggest douchebags in the sfcu forum get so paranoid about this kind of stuff. In fact... I haven't seen any club fall over so stupidly over trying to sign a player.
From MV being the most secretive and respected club when it comes to handling signings (although quality of signings may be argued about eg. Ricardon't), they have become something like Barcelona trying to sign Cesc...
From my point of view I'd be stoked if Harry joined the A-league. I'd love him at SFC but I don't think we will get him. If he joined the Victory I'd be happy because it would make beating the tards even sweeter. Hey, you forgot the one about Harry being a greedy cnut... 100% spot on, couldn't have summed it up better. Great post.

No, a sexist would assume someone they perceive as juvenile is a woman.
I don't even know why we're debating this. I was clearly joking.

Damn, pull your socks up. The persecution complex of Melbourne fans shows its ugly head once again. Edited by Monster: 9/8/2011 09:01:02 PM Sorry Miss, I'm in western NSW and couldn't give a tinkers about either club or in fact, any particular club. It's the observation of a neutral. Apparently a rival telco and a rival car manufacturer are the cause of the problem...I support the FFA in their stance on this.

I'd like to add that there's a rumour going around on Twitter that the FFA aren't happy about Harry's personal endorsements. NOT because they want him in Sydney.

This whole circus of calling press conferences to announce Harry's had a shit is most unbecoming of a club that ONCE was the most dignified in the league when it came to transfers.
As far as this particular conspiracy theory goes - it's been pretty obvious since day dot that the FFA would prefer him at Sydney - but either one's really fine for them, big markets get bigger and the smaller markets lose key players. Sunrise, sunset. FFS (Football Federation Sydney) will never change.
