fwiw. i think i have about the sweatiest bundes team you can get. 5 starters with pace 86 and up. leckie, bellarabi, aubemayang, wendel, mkhitaryan.

I don't often play on-line, prefer manager mode... Being in my mid-40s I don't have the fastest reactions around, and have low tolerance for shit-for-brains kids - so last night, playing on-line, 1-0 down after 30 minutes and all of a sudden this dickwad starts trash-talking. I'm not using a mic, so it's just his Kiwi drone coming out of the tv speakers. "This is my first game on-line... This is so easy... You're terrible... You're getting thumped...". Then he scores a second and ramps it up, "Why do you even play online? You can't play. Give up. Rage quit. Go on, rage quit."

You know what's coming, but allow me to build to it...

Half time comes, game stops, and I hear him laughing, "You rage quit, you little bitch running away... Ohhh..." The game restarts. From 45 minutes to 68, it's him non-stop trash talking. Trying to beat my entire defence with his "One man army, one many army..."

Then, you guessed it... 68 minutes, it's 1-2. 81 minutes, it's 2-2. And the c*nt is silent. 89 minutes - you guessed it... Old fart 3, Kiwi Trash talker 2. And the silence is deafening.

That is all.

You're meant to send an abusive message to him after that. Rub it in his face.

I'd like to think that I'm above that... But the reality is I'm just not quick enough.

Can I just add - observations from an older gamer...

- when you concede a goal, and your opponent watches the entire celebration, followed by a replay of the goal, do you assume - like me - that some spotty twat is running around his bedroom celebrating that he's just scored?

- when you go into a game and your opponent watches the entire build up, team-sheets, etc., before kick-off, do you - like me - groan at the realisation that he's a dickwad who is going to watch all replays, etc., throughout the game?

- do you, like me, not mind at all being beaten 3 or 4-0, so long as the guy on the other end of the line skips through intros/replays and doesn't take the piss?

Don't know about others, but I'll usually use this time to check FB etc, if I'm not doing anything on there celebrations will be skipped.

If this is your first time online on any Fifa then you'll be unaware of how bad it used to be. 30 second unskippable Gangnam dance or robot. Add to that that there used to be 3 replays after every goal, now there's just 1 in online.

Found two new subsets of FIFA gamers...

* The guy who has obviously spent a bit of money to buy points so he can sign superstars - has a best of Barce/Real squad - but still can't beat my rabble (0-0 draw because I hit the bar with an open goal infront of me).

* The annoying cnut who thinks that it's cool to wait the maximum time before every kick-off, free-kick, goal-kick, etc. Even in the first minute.

The physical play overhaul looks good, as does player face realism. The my story mode is a bit disappointing, how you can only play as 'Alex Hunter', although I suppose it's a step in the right direction. Really hope they introduce plenty of new stadiums for this fifa, even if it is via downloadable stadium packs.

Will wait to see more of the campaign mode to really judge, but in the end it's a step in the right direction. Hopefully you might be able to choose from a range of clubs to start with, would be a bit shit to just start at United.

It is any EPL club, but no other team outside the Prem. Also I am surprised they aren't flaunting the fact that all EPL managers are now in the game a bit more. Barely seen anything about it.

Makes sense, would expect that to be expanded next season with the addition of more exclusive licenses. La Liga probably the first league added. Like I said a step in the right direction and at least it shows they are somewhat listening to fans.

With the inclusion of the J-League and CSL looking likely do you guys think we can expect a version of the ACL in career mode next year? Would make A-League a lot more fun and surely would be possible with Australia, Saudi Arabia, China, Korea and Japan.
3.5 Saudi clubs + 3.5 Korean clubs + 3.5 Japanese clubs + 3.5 Chinese clubs + 2.5 Australian clubs = 16.5, could just cut off one chinese qualifier as they enter earlier.
