What gets me is the top rating show was session 1 of day 5 of the cricket. That session was washed out and they didn't start playing until after lunch!
I assume that means the 185k stayed and watched the replay of the previous days play - perhaps they didn't notice.

Depends on how they classify a rating. I know i switched over to that channel a few times to check for play.

Maybe a stupid question, but do people believe that the regional games coule be a big winner for the FFA in terms of fox viewership? You would presume your likely to get more people watching on Fox when games are taken away from their home grounds.

I think you may be right. Probably will lose a few people at the gate but more will watch as most of the supporters will not be able to get to the games.
With the tv ratings being all important at the moment that is probably a good thing.

It's pretty clear MV games are consistently the most popular.Solid 70's to 80's most weeks.SFC games rarely appear.

MVFC should be allowed to sell their own tv rights. MVFC prove without them the league would be dead.

That would be pretty good, would be nice to have cracked 100k though, probably would have except for SFC playing horribly the last 2 weeks.

Perth do get surprisingly good tv viewerships actually, considering they're one of the lowest drawing teams in the league come game day. Are there a lot of fans that live outside of Perth that follow the Glory, in places like Mildura and Broome etc? That's the only thing I can conclude.

Or it may be that Victory and Brisbane are the two sides with the best tv audiences and Perth was just lucky to be be playing them those two weeks.

There are 2 types of figures right? there is the maximum amount of people that have tuned in at some stage even be it 1 second, and there is the average amount of viewers for every minute of that program.

e.g If 100k viewers tuned in 100% of the time, and 100k viewers tuned in 50% of the time, then the average viewers of that 2 hour program is 150k viewers.

I live in Albany, 400kms south from Perth, and I regularly travel to Perth for games.
And I have a few mates here who try to see at least 2 or 3 games a season. There is quite a respectable following here

Very promising to see four football matches in the top ten(one EPL and three A-League) interestingly the Perth versus GCU game featured in the top ten...imo one of the least interesting matcheups...positive signs indeed.

Wow, I had no idea Fox Sports FC was rated more highly than some A-league games! I thought it would be down in the 20k if that the way it's run, I had no idea that many people enjoy tuning in! It's a good laugh and pretty inciteful but that blows my mind.

I've never previously seen fox sportsfc register. The 80k is likely 4/5 times higher than any previous time. Beckham, again.

Perhaps, the post-game show's ratings is a reflection on the MVFC v AUFC game that followed?

It seems MVFC, SFC & BRI are now consistently getting ratings 65k+, which I think is excellent. Also, having MVFC playing immediately after F3 derby means majority of MVFC fans cannot tune in to the F3 derby b/c we're making our way to the ground.

I know Fox and the A-League advertise on the Fox sports channels but have they considered advertising the A-League on other channels that rate well such as Fox 8, the Disney Channel, TV1 and movie channels...it might be worth their while to do so.
