What a powerful scene. I feel they could have included Arya a bit more. It was brilliant anyway.

Seriously though, holy shit, I'd heard this was the episode where shit gets real so I saw what was coming but it still didn't prepare me for the reality of it.

Yeah, credits were well done. Anything else would have just taken away from the moment.
The stabbing of Rob's wife (her name always escapes me) was the worst, just the brutality of it and how graphic and choking it was.
Also gotta spare a thought for Arya. All that way, she finally makes it to her family, but they're massacred before she can see them.
I think the worst part is one arc is just completely killed off in about 5 minutes. And it was my favourite arc as well.
In other news, i think Joffrey has lost the title of most hated character to Roose Bolton. Smug git.
Expecting more shit to go down soon in regards to Joffrey and the Iron Islands King, as they were both cursed by Stannis last episode.
I don't think I've ever felt like that after watching a television programme before. Still in shock.

Also, brilliant news coming from NBC the other day that Dan Harmon would be returning to Community as showrunner for season 5.

Channel Ten the new home of the Big Bash League!Channel Ten will be the new television home of the Big Bash League after the details of Cricket Australia’s new broadcast rights deal were officially announced today. The new deal means that the BBL will be the only sports league in Australia with all of its matches on free-to-air television, taking the format to a new audience all around the country. TEN Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Hamish McLennan said: “We are delighted to join forces with Cricket Australia as its exclusive domestic Twenty20 cricket partner and we look forward to a long, successful partnership.” “The Twenty20 Big Bash League is a great competition and TEN and Cricket Australia will make it a major free-to-air television event. “Our agreement with CA fits perfectly with TEN’s strategy of bringing big television events to a broad audience”. Cricket Australia was also very pleased to welcome Channel Ten as a new broadcast partner for the KFC BBL T20 competition. “We created BBL for one compelling reason – to create a cricket offering for kids, families and females in our efforts to hold our place as Australia’s favourite sport,” Sutherland said. “That strategy is working and it is very gratifying that we have been able to build a new highly- successful domestic sports competition which after only two summers is capable of earning a slot as premium free-to-air TV content.” Sutherland also paid tribute to FOX SPORTS for the work they did in helping establish the BBL. “I would like to pay tribute to Patrick Delany and FOX SPORTS for their outstanding work helping us launch and establish BBL and for creating the platform of awareness and success for the competition. “The BBL is bringing lots of new fans to cricket and being on Ten gives us the ability to engage with even more fans than ever before. “The BBL broadcast deal justifies our strategy of investing in the BBL’s development up front over the last two summers on the basis of creating a new, domestic-based BBL revenue stream for Australian cricket down the track.” http://www.bigbash.com.au/news-and-videos/2013/06/04/bbl-finds-new-television-home

I'm hopeful they can work something out. Rumours surfacing that Harmon got his job back because Joel McHale lead the rest of the cast in complaining about the Season 4 script. Have only just got into season 4, took me ages to get around to it. Just finished the thanksgiving episode. That Winger speech to his dad at the end is brilliant. Edited by benjo: 4/6/2013 03:02:53 PM Yeah season 4 is a true test of grit. It is so far removed from what it was that it's hard to watch at times, For example the Inspector space time con is half hearted at best and where there were great jokes potential they wimped out for fear of who knows what. I do like Luke Perry as the American version though. Stick through it as ep 11 iirc was written by Jim Rush (the Dean) and gets some good laughs and the finale does a good retelling of a lot of the great momments from the previous 3 seasons to end above a fizzle. Yeah, I heard McHale was the instigator, I'm hoping for a Dallas style Winger in the shower and it's all a dream sequence!

Agreed, a few shows have created a similar level of heart in mouth suspense, but the sheer shock factor of that scene is ridiculous. I just wathced it again with a house mate who hadn't seen it yet and I found that my heart was absolutely racing in the build up while he watched on oblivious.

GOT is the greatest TV/Book adaptation ever. They nailed the Red Wedding. Sure it was different to the books slightly but IMO an adaptation can never be exact to the source material, especially as you progress more and more into a story.
