Anyone watching Scorpion? 2 eps in and I'm really trying to like it, but so far I'm finding it hard. Might give it another ep before giving up.

Yeah, it was pretty obvious that Carroll was going to run riot and save them... But anyway
Personally I'm attached to all the main characters. The alcoholic dewd will die this season, but who else?

I agree, but
the first guy that got bled out was the kid (was his name Aaron or Sam, I can't remember) from Season 4 that Carol and Rick came across in the woods with his girlfriend and got the chomp. Gave me some hope that they would make it, but I guess that if none of them died it wouldn't have really given much tension. Was a good missed opportunity to get rid of Bob.

The surviving cast is also now so big that I don't think it's time for new characters just yet, especially considering that Ford, Eugene, Rosita and Tara haven't had any real development yet... Tara could probably go now, she's pretty superfluous... although she could turn into a love interest for Beth in the future?

New character next week that was pretty pivotal in the comics for around 50 issues, and a lot of speculation that the rapist at the end was a future antagonist (Negan) although it looks more likely that it was the crazy guy that they let out of the train cart during the escape.
I really like the direction the series is taking. The first season nearly made me give up on it, but I'm glad that I stuck with it.

includes comic spoilers

I think we're going to see Gareth
and the surviving Terminus group suffer a similar fate to what happened to The Hunters in the comica, and it's going to be brutal as fuck.

Unfortunately, I don't think we're going to get a Tainted Meat meltdown... unless... Bob gets bit and taken.

http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m0fnj87tln1qdu2tro1_500.jpg
This is exactly what happened.

Expect
tainted meat
next episode.

I loved the first two seasons but I thought it declined in quality pretty steeply after that, it just seemed to get way too cheesy for me. I'm glad I stuck around though, this season looks pretty promising imo.

Notor, my first thought in the terminus flashback scene was that we were seeing the future antagonist you're referring to, but as I haven't actually read the comics I was basing that purely off your descriptions of him.

Ah didn't clock him, wondered why he got so much screen time. Maybe they should have made him the one before the main cast for a bit more suspense, but like I said, very minor gripe.

There's a couple of reasons that I think it's probably not him (more comic spoilers)

1)
He's fucked up, but he's not a rapist in the way it was shown in the episode. He has this weird moral code where he basically forces other peoples wives into joining his harem "voluntarily", but is vehemently against forced rape.
2)
He was never in Georgia in the comics, he was near Alexandria Virginia where the story fleshes out a lot more.
Considering that Gimple has basically spent the last season fixing the continuity problems and has pretty much brought the show back into line with the comics after massive diversions (although a lot of characters that are alive in the show are dead in the comics and vice-versa and a couple in the show (like Daryl & Bob) were never in the comics), I think that this season will focus on the travel from Georgia towards Washington DC and they will end up in the
Alexandria Safe Zone
where they will find
The 3 peaceful communities (The Hill, Alexandria Safe Zone and The Kingdom) and The Saviors led by Negan
It's going to be huge, so much happens which leaves epic possibilities for great TV (a Tiger, anyone?). Expect a lot of Carl development, which they have been hinting at on the show for a while.

There was a recent 2 year time jump in the comics, slowing the action right down... although the show is still a good 4-5 seasons away from that.

I absolutely love that it's now about human morality and survival instinct. It's certainly challenged me and broadened my thoughts on the issue. The problem is that I'm so in love with this series that I find bush walking boring these days without zombies and automatic weapons :(

Hekkers scene
but played out with too much assurance that none of the main characters were in any danger of getting the chop themselves, with the exact amount of redshirts killed before the interruption. Oh well, minor gripe.

I absolutely love that it's now about human morality and survival instinct. It's certainly challenged me and broadened my thoughts on the issue. The problem is that I'm so in love with this series that I find bush walking boring these days without zombies and automatic weapons :(

We should definitely do a 442 urban explorations rendezvous. Malabar Battery first on the list.

100%
Once uni is done for the semester, I'm up for beers, and scoping out prime zombie surviving locations

And the stories aren't connected at all except for a brief cameo from Glenn, so it's basically same universe different characters.

Awesome, shall be my evenings entertainment I think =p~
Cheers!

Brilliant first episode of TWD. The throat slitting was a little tough to watch minutes after a colossal breakfast
Absolutely love the show, one of my favourites.

includes comic spoilers

I think we're going to see Gareth
and the surviving Terminus group suffer a similar fate to what happened to The Hunters in the comica, and it's going to be brutal as fuck.

Unfortunately, I don't think we're going to get a Tainted Meat meltdown... unless... Bob gets bit and taken.

This is exactly what happened.

Expect
tainted meat
next episode.

Well, really it's
1 black guy in, roughly 1/5th of a black guy out.
Never thought I'd see Juliet and Pi doing it.
