Rachel McAdams looks like she might actually be good in that.

Not sure if it was one take, I think there were a couple of moments where they could 'cheat'. That eye scene was heavy
and it basically did all the work in building up Fisk
Daredevil sagged a bit in the middle and towards the end, but was overall pretty satisfying. Well worth the watch.
Bring on Jessica Jones.

I'm downloading ep 1 to see what the quality is like. If it's decent I know I'll probably end up caving and downloading all 4 eps

As grey as House of Cards on netflix looks, Daredevil is one of the darkest looking shows ive ever seen
Is the lack of light designed to emphasise Murdok's lack of sight?
Also, I normally hate superhero films, but the promise of a grittier ruthless angle on a Netflix franchise means I hold great expectations

Fucking hell. A lot of shows could learn a bit from Justified about how to finish. Not sure I've ever been more satisfied with how a series has ended.

It's incredibly well-written, and definitley a slow burner. Each season builds up with great intensity and the climactic moments tend to hinge on details that can be buried underneath a ton of other details. A very rewarding program, some of the best characters to be featured on Television, too. When you have the time to get stuck in to a new show, definitley consider it :)

You should definitely get around to it mate, it's easily the best show I've ever seen. It's definitely a slow burner but if you're patient enough to get past the first couple of episodes you'll be rewarded for it pretty quickly. What sets The Wire apart from its peers is the level of realism that goes into it, it's not just fiction, it's a social commentary.

police wanted the producers to change the wire as it was too realistic for their liking. Great show

-PB Im a little bit over the concept of series finales Just because its the last episode of the series, doesnt mean it has to go into fast forward/ skip a few years (especially a show like Justified, which is a slow show) Had it been approached the same way as a season finale (like season 1 or 3 or whatever) it would serve justice to the overall tone of the series, shows like Boardwalk Empire or Dexter which suffered greatly or even Breaking Bad, a show which suddenly changed all its characters because it knew the end was coming Anyway, thats nothing about Justified or the episode itself, because its Justified I'll let this show off the hook

How did Boardwalk 'suffer'? Because of the time jump? I don't think it suffered at all, sure we missed Rothstein getting whacked and the rise of Al Capone but the show was always Nucky's story so the time jump was 100% necessary. They wrapped the show up very well though, it was one of the best finale's I've ever seen. Considering the number of Soprano's alumni involved in the show it was a much more satisfying closure to the story than what we got with The Soprano's IMO.

I read somebody's thesis on the Sopranos finale once, and people still argue about it.
Great ending, IMO :D

I didn't feel as absorbed in the final season as I did in previous ones, mainly because I've always enjoyed Chalky, Rothstein, Luciano and Lansky and of course, they feature less frequently or not at all as in A.R's case. The flashback scenes were totally fulfilling - built the season up beautifully. I'm yet to watch the Sopranos but I love Matthew Weiner's work. I am holding on to my dick for Mad Men's final episode, I reckon that it will be spoken of in the same manner as The Sopranos.
