Also,
1. Melbourne 2. Perth 3. Brisbane 4. Sydney 5. Hobart 6. Adelaide
Never been to Darwin and Canberra can't seriously be considered a city.

1. Sydney (Australia's Global City) 2. Melbourne (Good infrastructure, lacks beauty) 3. Brisbane (Growing rapidly, young business climate and jobs) 4. Perth (See Brisbane) 5. Adelaide (Nice town, great people. Coopers) 6. Hobart (Lovely architecture) 7. Canberra (Hard to find a cafe open at 7am Sunday morning) 8. Darwin (Lots of potential)

Especially Coopers. You are a Melbourne Victory supporter. Whenever someone says something bad about the Victory, it is apparently because they are jealous. Using this fantastic and flawless logic, I will assume that you must be very jealous of Adelaide.

Personally I'd far rather Sydney than any other city in Australia, which is why I moved up here. May not be as "livable" as other cities, but if that's what I was after I'd move back to the country. Don't really see the point in choosing the next 7 cities I'd choose to live in. Perth and Melbourne in some ways are the best, although I'd probably choose to live in Brisbane.

Of the cities I have been to.
1. Sydney (I live there) 2. Wollongong (I pretty much live there) 3. Coffs Harbour 4. Gold Coast 5. Launceston 6. Hobart 7. Canberra 8. Tamworth 9. Nowra 10. Dubbo 11. Bathurst 12. Orange 13. Melbourne (Not much to judge it by other than it was a short stop on the way to Tasmania)
I find it strange that I have never actually been to Newcastle.

Only ever been to Perth (derp) and Brisbane a few times. Do Toowoomba/Albany count?
EDIT: Also, what do people actually like about Perth? It doesn't seem that great to me lol.

Yeah, no idea how everyone rates Perth. It's a nice place to live, but nothing in the way of touristy activities 1. Gold Coast 2. Melbourne (been there for one morning and it was better than Perth. Going there in January as well). 3. Perth And that's it. Favorite country towns 1. Margaret River 2. Mandurah 3. Mt.Hotham 4. Busselton 5. Bunbury 6. Walpole

Shaker wrote:North of Tassie > South of tassie :D We have a saying in Tasmania, the difference between Burnie and a tub of yoghurt, is that a tub of yoghurt has more culture. As for Launceston, it's just slightly more boring than Hobart.
