Well it bothered me to begin with but after years of torment you forget it exists.

Listen, I'm an extremely caring and wholehearted person when it comes to my affection for those I care for. If she is upset I am upset, if she needs help I am there. If we have a fight I wont rest until it is solved. I have proved this to her and she knows how much I care.

But this is not that; this is not a small fight or problem. She essentially broke up with me. I hesitate to use the term because I hope she realizes she made a stupid mistake - and if she apologises I will forgive her and we can be together again. She has said to me that being with me was a mistake, and that we aren't going to work out. Fine, I will be (and am) upset but I am not going to EVER fucking chase her after she has done that to me. Especially when I KNOW it was an impulsive, irrational and kneejerk reaction. If you want to obliterate something that I know for a fact made you happy, made you feel like you were on top of the world, if you want to be stupid and lose something and somebody that could be amazing for you, that's your decision. I'm not going to try to convince you to take me back.

I don't need to show her how much I care - she knows that I do, unequivocally. Yeah, i'm trying to explain it as best as I can but yeah.

Again, I know I'm nowhere near perfect and I'm not trying to act like I am some amazing person and she is worse than me and I am better - i always told her to never put me on a pedestal or treat me like I am better - we are equal. But we were happy together - happier than you were before we met. So this is just dumb.

The girl i've been seeing for a few weeks now has said she's not really looking for anything serious and wants to keep things casual so i figure i've got 3 options: 1. Bail 2. Convince her about a proper relationship 3. Smash box until i find someone new.
i'm not really sure which way i'm leaning here yet. I was having a chat with her sister (one that doesn't have down syndrome) on saturday night and she was saying the girl always freaks out after a few weeks with a guy because her first and only boyfriend she was with for a few years came out as gay and broke her heart so she has some issues with that, dont know if i can bothered with this.

Just putting it out there, sometimes girls will say they want to keep it casual just to keep the guy around (because they assume thats what the guy wants). Don't know how relevant that is for your situation though.

Oh also, I'd go with option 3 ;) Or perhaps option 3 until she wants a relationship?
