If you really want to make it work, you can. My cousin had a long distance relationship for about 1.5-2 years and he is now happily married. She moved here. My brother had a long distance for about a year and he is also now married, once again she moved here. You know what, come to think of it, all my bloody cousins here bar one are either in a long distance relationship or were in one before getting engaged or married to that person.

If you both keen on making it work and can eventually see either one of you moving further down the track then id say work at it. Thing is you never going to know until you try. I know long distance can be hard, very hard at times but the reward is greater than the sacrifice if you both like each other and can work on the relationship and be committed to it.

I do plan on coming back, but I have no idea when. I would like to try a long-distance thing, but I don't really have the faith in it working. As Vaughn said, I just have to hope our paths cross again in the future.

organise for her to visit in a few months after you've moved back. after a couple of weeks, get her to ring home & tell her family that she's decided to live & work over there and if they don't like it they'll have to come get her themselves. if they actually do come get her, play the "we're pregnant" card.

So the girl, A, who I used to be best friends with, and the guy, D, who I used to have a thing with, got together a couple of months ago because as soon as D became interested in me, A realised she had very strong feelings for D. They broke up a couple of weeks ago though, and now A is happily back with her ex. So in other words, she ONLY wanted him because I did. That's cool.
